Was a story on TV news station a few months back about a high dollar sub in NW suburbs where on one side of the street as you came in the houses were finished and sold, on the other side of the street the houses were framed and sheathed (ply/osb) but not sided or shingled. The homes were falling in and folks from all around had been dumping garbage in the lots and packing it into the homes.. The county itself had to condemn the properties and hire someone with their tax dollars to come demo the half finished homes and clear the lots. Of course they made a point of saying the builder, who was r

They're saying NE Paulding and N.Cobb areas are in the warning area. From weather.com

I KNOW rite!! I don't see why people think a Stop sign means that they can just stop and go. PEOPLE YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO WAIT UNTIL THE STOP SIGN TURNS GREEN!! AMIRITE?

The internet page with the embedded java client can always run p.com ads in the banners. You silly.

it's crazy that there isn't one already. A no-frills #paulding.com IRC channel can be setup for free and in a matter of a few minutes. And if frisky pubby could provide a dedicated web plugin page using a free java chat client. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_Relay_Chat

Here's a pic taken in the Lowe's parking lot on Hwy120 and Barret Pkwy today around 1:30PM Look at the windshield wiper. BTW, it went from a light rain to a very heavy sleet, to a heavy downpour, to being warm, then more rain, then back cold in a matter of 20minutes in this area today.

For all the haters here's a scan of their receipt/policy listing. If they've changed how they do business they need to let the customer know well before hand I even marked the part that deals with an "out of gas" situation.

Really they dig up my pipes that go about 150ft behind my house to check for leaks? I must have missed that part. Along with missing the other part where they crawled under my home checking where it comes out of the block and goes up into the floor joists. I really am slipping aren't I with those guys doing all that? I mean they must of been here hours before I realized... Unless.. OMG.. they're NINJAS!! See here's the thing. They did not install my lines, they did not put in my appliance nor past appliances. They're job starts and ends at the fill port of my tank. They

Yeah it makes me feel like crap to say the least that I didn't do anything, and let them walk all over me in retrospect. I've had a bad ear infection lately, had just gotten home early, already changed, was tired, thinking about a nap, and caught completely off guard by the whole entire thing because it came out of nowhere. And yeah I had a mind to do something along the lines of getting my piece out and dialing 911 cause I really didn't know who those guys were or what they were doing. Then the call came and the woman on the phone just made me think "I don't even want to deal with

Honestly the guys were lucky that they got my phone to ring right before I was going out the door to give me some context of what was going on. Because after seeing a small flatbed truck with a lift crane on it parked around the side of my house and two guys at my tank while one was working furiously over the top of it only hours after getting a delivery my first thought was that someone might be trying to rob me. I was just about to grab my piece out of the top of the closet to take out the door with me when the phone was rang. I mean people been shot getting into their cars to go to

I did the first thing any of us would do. I logged onto Pcom to complain. But once I'm done venting and making sure I'm not over reacting then I will proceed. Someone already made the great suggestion of sending a strongly worded letter to the owner instead of ending up with a phone jockey who would just flick rubber bands at his office mates while I complain before he halfheartedly tries to placate me.

They were in the process of removing the regulator on the tank, never said they were going to take the whole tank. AMEN. If you buy gas the Habib don't come running out and bar you from your car pending an inspection by some random persons. Again 3 different stories I was told.

The thing about the pilot light is we're going on our 4th year not having one, the stove with electronic ignition being the ONLY appliance we have that uses LP. We've told them this with each delivery they've sent and had no issue. Lighting a pilot light was always offered as a safety courtesy when you ran out of gas. We would politely decline and they would then just leave the tank turned off, this has never ever been an issue before even when we had pilot lights, and still wasn't one last fall when we last got a fill on the tank. Sums it up perfectly. Firstly, the thing tha

I will NOT be giving further business to a very local and well known home propane supplier* any longer. After receiving 30+ years of propane services from this local supplier I am NOT going to be giving them my business any longer. On Tuesday of this week I ordered 100 Gallons of propane to be delivered to my home and put into a tank I own. I get home, find the receipt on the tank with a note the tank is off, it always is when they fill up here, and I turn it on and get my stove working. My electronic ignition stove is the ONLY device I use the propane for currently, as I've convert

Riptides replied to nanapudding's topic in NEW Scanning the County - Emergency Services radio Traffic Reports
There were several boys out helping with the yard work, one of which lives beside my mother, only a few houses down from the crime scene, and he told her he thought he saw them bring out more than one person. Just with everything going on around there lately my mom was a bit more than freaked out when she called me to try to explain what was going on. She said her neighbors son was distraught over it and he may have gotten confused when telling her. So I want to apologize if I was wrong, which I hope I am. Edit: And if this man is the only one deceased, how did the family that -

I don't want to give away exactly where my mother lives, but the person who discovered the body or bodies told her directly. Also there is a police officer who lives near the home where the body or bodies were found. So as far as I can tell more than one was found at the residence, up to how many may just be neighborhood rumor or speculation at this point. -
Well the worst people may come home to in Lost Mtn Woods is a freshly watered back yard care of the county. Thanks, the only thing she was afraid of was the wind pushing something across the cleared part into the trees in the neighborhood. She has had half the neighborhood in her backyard watching. Want to add, this is enough excitement for me for one day.

Thankyou Reesy. It's slowly being brought under control. They are carrying backpack tanks down and spraying. They got the bulldozer down there helping now. It's in the treeline that runs beside the walmart along the creek. They have been spraying both the houses and yards in the subdivision. The fire itself started over there where they cleared and burning. Again, the guy covered up the firepit with the backhoe, pulled it into the woods started pulling brush. Then, correction, he pulled off in the backhoe and a few minutes later the brush itself was bu

Beside the Walmart. Behind the Neighborhood on East Paulding. Between Hwys 120 and E. Paulding. MOM called ME to tell me she saw smoke and I told her to go check and she did and said it was on fire and I told her to dial 911. She's the one who told them to get the damn bulldozers down there to try to cover it.

The fence along the walmart which is part plastic and metal is a goner. Mom's house is safe for now, because of them clearing, but the treeline goes along the creek to the houses in her neighborhood and the fire is moving along it. The wind keeps picking up and changing. One truck is parked in her neighborhood waiting for more units and still assessing. Yes, she said the wind picked up and the firemen came running out of the woods.
