  1. I'd so hand THEM a bill for the estimated cost of the trees at the current height! And then I'd tack on pain and suffering
  2. Wow that is pretty messed up!! I'm curious about this subject. It would be useful to know for in the future.
  3. I'm "other" because I can wake up in the morning with no problems and get started on my day. I start getting tired at about 2pm (when the kids are getting out of school, figures! ) but when 8pm rolls around I get another burst and can keep going.
  4. I'm sure the area you are from plays a part in it as well. Where I'm from a car is a cah....... Up in Michigan heighT it pronounced hi-th and theatre is the-a-ter... and of course everyone out here is familiar with how Southern people say things. I never noticed anything said incorrectly in California though.
  5. Awe I'm sorry that we didn't win....and when I say we, I mean not only the Felix family but our entire school district. I have been voting since the first announcement of the contest on here. We are a small county but a mighty one. I hope they do this again next year! Thanks for taking the time, effort and spending the money to put on this amazing light show Felix family! It wouldn't be Christmas without it
  6. Oh man....back when my now 10 year old was about 2 or 3 he loved Thomas The Train.....well, he had problems saying "Percy" (the green trains name)....he would say...umm...I can't even put it here but we'll leave it at a slang term for a girl unit/slang for not a strong guy/another name for a cat.....yeah.....
  7. There is a town called Calvary in southern Georgia. I've wanted to see it since I read about it on Wikipedia - "It has a total of 4 community buildings/spaces and one caution light." It sounds interesting
  8. I hope people keeps voting....it isn't too late and every vote counts
  9. I don't believe the teachers intended to cause harm to anyone but I agree, it was a case of bad judgement.
  10. When I had first caught the tidbit about this on the news I thought people were being too sensitive or were making a big deal out of nothing until I watched the entire story. I just can't believe teachers would ever think that was a good idea. I can see wanting to tie together lessons from various subjects but wow. I can certainly understand the hurt and anger these people are feeling.
  11. I've been voting every day and begging everyone on my FB...they probably are tired of me None of the links to that page will work for me either
  12. As far as I know Kroger isn't a CM so are you referring to West Metro? Holy crap!! That is messed up!!! That would make me want to find the person, track em down and slash their tires or something What a butt hole!!!
  13. Whoa!! Never heard about that before but that is awesome!
  14. I bought gas in Acworth yesterday and today. I had a 1/2 tank left when I dropped my kids off yesterday so I filled up at the new gas station (Race Track I think) and then today when I picked them up I had 3/4 of a tank so I figured I'd fill that baby up. $2.99 looks a lot nicer than $3.35 which is what it is near me. Think tomorrow I'll sit home all day. Won't be going out as much with gas going up again.
  15. I've been hearing the thunder for a while too!! At least an hour! My kids would love some snow! Awe I want hail
  16. I've debated not even going there any more because the parking lot is such a nightmare! People don't always stop where the stop signs are, others come up beside the pharmacy and just dart out. There is always traffic and congestion. People at the gas pumps drive like idiots. I just about have a nervous breakdown when I go there. I've realized the only safe time to go is first thing in the morning or late at night. I agree......Hiram Walmart people must all be shopping at that Kroger now.
  17. I don't know if I should admit that I have never had a fried pickle. I'm curious though! I'll have to swing by there on Monday after class.
  18. Uh oh, my kids build rock formations all day when they get bored and are outside
  19. I'm a maniac when it comes to things going down the drain, I never pour grease down there or put things in that don't belong down there. I remember being told that the 2 main things that can cause septic problems are grease and "girl products" though I don't know how much truth there is to that. I always just erred on the side of caution. I am going to make some calls and see about getting it checked and/or pumped this spring.....why spring? Well, my husband seems against it so I figure in Spring I can chalk the disturbed grass up to me trying to plant new grass I'm pretty inventive
  20. Awesomeness! Thanks everyone....I'm going to be sure to do my research on the companies
  21. My husbands ex does but she doesn't look like that
  22. This has all been useful, thanks everyone!
  23. Shoot I don't think we've gotten anything like that. Our house is only about 11 years old. Someone lived here for a year then it was vacant for another year or so before we bought it. Thanks! That might be good to have on hand. We've not had any septic problems...yet (knock on wood, thank God and all that) but of course you start getting concerned when you see your neighbors having issues with theirs.
  24. No water any where....now at the neighbors house there was but we had thought maybe their basement flooded or something. Ours recently did that but we had a hole in the foundation from when they built the house (long story right there)...... but as far as I can tell when I go in my yard, no water over the tank area or over the grassy areas. No dampness or anything. How do you find a reputable company? Or maybe what I should ask is can anyone recommend anyone?
