Papi, I like you and all but I take offense at being lumped in with this group that sickens you. I think the situation was handled wrong and I don't believe someone should have died over it. I am not an idiot or a moron and personal responsibility means plenty to me. I also don't believe it's always someone else's fault. Well hell, better call DFACS on me. My son got away from me in Walmart when he was 4. He didn't want to sit in the buggy, he wanted to walk. I let go of his hand for a second to grab some eggs that were falling out of the cart. That's all it took, he was gone and I became hysterical. They had to do a code Adam and when we found him, he was as scared as I was. I am a hypervigilant parent, but stuff does happen.
