  9. I stand by my opinion, your welcome to yours. Not to mention maintaining good grades while doing this, a parents dream come true!
  10. Sorry I can not let this one slide. His son has LIFE SKILLS that some, three times his age do not have. Our job as parents is to teach and to make our kids independent of us. We will not always be here to protect and care for our kids. CC has done his job and his kid is only 16. He knows the value of hard work, has been taught to go after what he wants and how to achieve it. Not to mention the work ethic that has been instilled in this kid, sorry CC, don't know his name! the self esteem and pride that CC's kid feels must be through the roof. I can only hope to do half the job he has alread

    Sad, Sad

Prayers for this young lady and family, I truly hope she's going to be ok.
  13. I am one of THOSE parents too. Proud of it. My job is to protect my kids and I take it seriously.
  14. Trixie, I agree with you. We school choice to East and will continue to do so. This happens everywhere, this is the world we live in today. The pressures our kids have to deal with today are far different than the ones we faced. I have to say that I am worried for our kids and kids everywhere, this became very real to me between last night and today. Our kids need to be hyper aware and keep communicating. The communication is what kept our kids safe, the threat was very real and I am also proud of the way it was handled.
  15. Thank God it's handled, for today...They did a great job of handling it. Students, parents, police, administration all worked together. Social media played a huge role in figuring out what was going on, I just worry about the day someone doesn't talk and just walks right in the door. I swear I am so sick right now.
  16. Weird, when I dropped mine off right around that time, looked pretty normal. I only saw two sheriff's cars and Officer Tanner's car, of course. I guess people panicked and left? I got a text from my son, they're not on lockdown right now. I'm not worried nor is my son. Well, maybe a tad worried, but that's normal.
  17. Yep, just dropped mine off right at bell time, looks like most are there now. I just got a text from my son, he said everything is normal right now. The authorities were there this morning and it's being handled. I know, we shouldn't have to worry but those of us who have kids there can't help but worry. Sad day we live in, I hate this!
  18. I am sending my son this morning. All administration knows, sheriff knows, I'm not too worried about today. I am worried about the day some kid doesn't announce it...I am sick of having to worry about this, but this is our world today, sad.
  19. My son's iphone was so cracked, I really didn't think they could fix it. They did, and it looks brand new now.
  20. Tis true! One of my favorite sayings, I should know better!
