  1. I had very small ceremonies for each marriage. First one, not one person from my family came. Second one was in the Dallas square, officiated by TBAR & lasted about 5 mins. My parents, his mom, my brother & his then gf & my kids were there. My dress came from Charlotte Russe ($28) and we didn't even have rings, lol. It was fun though. I have 4 siblings. Only my brother showed up.
  2. I, for one, don't think you need to explain. It's drilled into lil girl's heads that you must have a fairy tale kind of love. I would LOVE for my husband to be like Prince Charming. When I think of the things that he does daily: works so I don't have to, raises my two children from my first marriage but calls them his own, let's me sneak in animals & pretends he doesn't notice we have an extra bird, makes sure my kids travel several times a year, helps the kids with homework, etc. It's no fairy tale, but he is much more than I could have asked for. I LOVE to go to big weddings, but I nev
  3. this was my proposal from the first marriage: WILL YOU GET ME SOMETHING TO DRINK FROM THE FRIDGE? I open the fridge & there was my ring. *yawn* from my second: OH, LET'S GO AHEAD ALREADY. me: NO WAY, NOT MAKING THAT MISTAKE AGAIN. him: YOU CAN GET A NEW LAST NAAAAAAME. me: YES! LMAO!!! He's the bestest.
  4. Like I've said before, I think the folks who get angry are the ones who are looking for some good gossip or something & when it turns out it's just advertising, they get mad.
  5. according to the movie, the bacteria that causes Lyme is almost identical to the bacteria that causes Syphilis. That is just plain scary.
  6. I realize when you are posting & it's something outrageous, I know it's about a book. I think it's pretty damn creative.
  7. I am a documentary junkie. I just watched Under Our Skin on netflix. Wow, I had NO idea the problems with getting treated for those with Lyme. It really opened my eyes.
  8. ahahahhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!! Mother of the year.... It's so funny that you know exactly what I'm talking about, lol!!
  9. Banning Mills in Whitesburg. Beautiful! I can't wait until fall to ride the zip line!! http://www.historicbanningmills.com/
  10. Just wondering, trying to solve an argument. I know that if your county tag office doesn't have a tag that you've ordered you get a paper tag from the tag office. But what about a dealership paper tag...for MONTHS??
  11. I have an Evo Shift. Love it. There is only one thing, but it was easily fixed: the stock text app. It has a lot of bugs but I use Handcent sms & LOVE it. We get an airline discount with sprint so that is who we use.
  12. Jetasmom, you had to be sitting near me. Idk, I thought the beach balls were funny, especially when the honors student ran barefoot to the fence to get the last two that someone brought her. My daughter said everyone loved it.
  13. forgot to add that I hope they can plan it better next year. I really liked PCHS's idea of 6 tickets to the grad's family from last year & they get to sit first, then all the others. That is the way it should be. The lady next to us with all the damn air horns thought she was saving 3 rows for her ppl. Not a chance. My husband & daughter went up to sit & she told him that the whole section was saved & he said, "Yeah, I don't think so." Did you hear how high the Valedictorian's gpa was?? Good lawd!
  14. We were lucky to get down to Cohran Lake subdivision to park at my friend's house & walk to the school from there. My 10 year old blew out her flip flop on the walk down, so she was barefoot like a Walmart baby. And if you didn't hear from the people sitting next to me, Dalton was graduating. :eyeroll:
  15. Sorry, I whistled & gave a woo hoo to my daughter last night. A Paulding county judge's daughter also graduated last night with my daughter & I'm sure she's not the first one to graduate either. I didn't have an air horn, the people beside us had several. I didn't have a cowbell either. I wasn't dressed like a stripper but several others were. I also didn't faint while the Salutatorian gave her wonderful speech, but someone did. I didn't like the air horns, at all. I woke up with a migraine & puking that I blame on them. Over all it was a great ceremony complete with four beach
  16. Third grade awards, whatever...I have graduation on the brain
  17. I happened to be at a 3rd grade graduation today and this chick comes in with a long skirt but a hanky looking shirt that was backless except the strings that tied it together. Finally after everyone was gawking at her the assistant principal asked her to sit. Maybe it was the only thing she had? I get that. I swear I do. There was also a funeral I went to recently & there were some girls who thought prom dresses (the ones they sell at Ross) were appropriate. Um... Do you say something to these unfortunate folk? I never have if I know they don't have money to buy appropriate t
  18. hehehehe, of course CrownApp! If you don't want the drama with deleting those folks, put them on a list & forget it!
  19. Had my appt with Pinnacle this morning. I have 4 weeks of strengthening my thigh muscles & if it's still hurting I go in for an MRI bc it's a possible meniscus tear Which will require a scope...just like I had back in December for my ankle.
  20. I like to set people up on lists. Like, my mother, my bff's mother, my ex mother in law, my great aunt, those people get on a special list that can't see some things I post. I don't want to give anyone a heart attack. I also have every kid that has friended me (my kids' friends, kids from the dance school, etc.) on a list that can't see my wall, anything I post, etc because I am NOT appropriate. FB has made it easier than ever to do it now.
  21. I have copied & pasted on fb in a note. Now all my friends will be 500lbs just like I'm gonna be!!!
