My current job (teacher) is the one I have loved the most AND hated the most. Sometimes I have both emotions in the same day. If I have to work and support myself, I can't imagine ever doing anything else, though...and I have no intention of ever being anything other than a teacher. The thought of being an administrator, or any type of coordinator or director or any of those other positions school systems create and pay people too much for, does not appeal to me in the least. I just want to teach. My DREAM job, the one I would do if I had someone to support me, would be to refinish old f

I wonder how many people on here will read the ENTIRE thing?

no, it doesn't - but why possibly contribute to a crisis by making yourself a host for a mutation? the less possible hosts in which a virus can mutate, the better, right?

were you there at all during the billing period? that's mine when I am gone for a month...with everything possible unplugged, nothing ever turned on, & no AC running... -
you beat me to it! doesn't get any simpler, or more frightening, than that...

It's called a hypothetical situation....if you actually read it from the beginning, it's pretty obvious...well, to the educated, anyway

Just because we dodged the bullet then does not automatically mean we will dodge it again. Things are VERY different in 2009 vs. 1976. There are more people on the planet, and we are a much more mobile society now, on a global scale. Has anyone every considered the fact that it wasnt as bad a predicted in 1976 BECAUSE people got vaccinated? Just a thought...

ummm, I'm guessing since it's a vaccine, it's going to have VACCINE in it

really wasn't sure what to expect, this is the first month all the lights & AC were actually used all summer...hearing what everyone else's bills have been has had me worried....but it was only $76, and considering how much I have run the AC this month, I can live with that! -
slept late, went to Target & Bed Bath and Beyond (twice), once to Home Depot. the rest of the time I spent on my butt trying to talk myself into getting up & doing something. tomorrow, I get to do all the stuff I SHOULD have done today

We got them through the School District. there are tons of offers through the program. The one that stuck out was a percentage off Braves tickets. I figure anything that gets me any discount on anything is a good thing these days...

It's only the third week of school (in Cobb), and already this week I have had one student go home with flu symptoms (fever included), only to come back to school today and end up going home sick again....another child who went through half a box of tissues during class today, another who came in pale as a ghost and could barely hold his head up during class, and another whose mother emailed today to notify us she has been diagnosed with the flu. Hype or not, it's real,,,and it's going to be a long school year....

same here. started doing this when bought my house a few years ago & had to find ways to cut back on expenses. they get washed in the dishwasher, refilled from the faucet (I have a faucet mount filter - found one that only has to be replaced once a year or so ) Got to have my water in a bottle, easier to carry around, and don't have to worry if it gets knocked over on my desk...

I haven't eaten out in over 2 weeks...have cooked every night, making extra effort to eat better (more fruit & veggies)...and for all my trouble, I've gained 6 pounds in the past 2 weeks - WTH???!!!! -

It's going to be a long school year Hope your family feels better, soon!

just remember, the "less censored" part goes both ways in there...the faint of heart and closed-minded never last long enough to really learn how to appreciate the Tonk...

from the looks of the radar, it's going to be one of those nights. at least the grass & flowers will be happy...
