Hubby and I have stayed at The Intercontinental on Peachtree, the Doubletree on Peachtree, the Sheraton on Lenox, all nice places and then there is any number of restaurants you can walk to. Maggianos, Mortons Steak House just to name 2. We love to do this same thing on our anniversary, have fun.

OMG!! That's interesting!!!! I know how you feel. I remember all the news coverage and you couldn't go anywhere without seeing a poster with her name and picture on it for a long, long time. And then it took a year to find her. It's nauseating just to think about it.

They've done in the past, so it wouldn't be that hard to do again and I think they know the benefit in the end would make up for it and be worth it.

Everyone is home all safe and sound. And ENT had to drain, gross I know, SIL's tonsils and with the steroids and all the other meds, he's doing much better. It's weird to me how you can go from SOOOO sick to just regular sick in a matter of hours. Of course, you still have the panic and worry in between but I guess thats just the way of things. Dr wants to remove his tonsils and I think SIL realizes that is the thing to do, but they have to get him well first, ironic huh?!?! Thank ya'll so much. I just talked to my daughter and he is resting, they have called in an ENT about his tonsils because they are so infected. This seemed to happen very quickly. He had a sore throat yesterday and today and then it just went, WOOOOSH and turned into this. He needs to have his tonsils removed, but if he doesn't work, he doesn't get paid. But like I've told him, this happens at least twice a year, just not the this extent and if he gets it over with he won't have to worry about it anymore. SIL is intebated and on oxygen and knocked out. He is getting antibiotics and steroids through an IV. Daughter is much calmer since they let her go back with him. Thanks ya'll, having support even on line, is a real comfort!

My oldest daughter took her Hubby to the immediate care because he had a sore throat and he felt like his throat was closing up because his tonsils are so inflamed. This has happened before, so it was not a huge deal. By the time they got to him at immediate care, his throat was almost all the way closed up and he was having trouble breathing. They sent him to the hospital immediately and the drs were waiting for him when he got there and by that time they rushed him back and were going to intabate(sp) him. They wouldn't let my daughter go back, I can't go to the hospital because I'm here

If you are found guilty and you ARE in fact guilty as we all know he is, how was his trial not fair? He killed an innocent woman, brutally I might add, the evidence against him is irrefutable, he had a trial and was found guilty. Case over as far as I'm concerned. Why does he deserve better than what he gave that poor woman? I wonder if all this rhetoric would even be an issue if this woman was your family member?

But thats not the same thing as being disrespectful to others, completely disrespectful at times. There are no mental issues here other than 'because I want to' and it's getting harder and harder to deal with. Dr after dr has told us this person is fine, seems to have all their faculties and that there is no declining issue such as dementia or altzheimers(sp). They behave they way they do simply because they want to. Maybe if I start doing that too, it won't bother me so much when they do it.

I agree and they KNOW he did it, people saw him do it, there is video of him doing it and yet this will be tried and go on and on for years. Where is the justice in that? Nowhere I'm thinking.

911 daughters birthday is tomorrow and she wants steak, so I'll be making a trip tomorrow. We got filet mignon the last birthday we had here and I bought a whole filet, they were on sale if you bought the whole thing, had them slice it almost 2 inches thick per steak, we got 11 steaks and it was less than $60.00. And let me tell ya' I've never has a tastier or more tender piece of meat.

The bottom line here, regardless of how broken the system may or may not be, is that this guy is GUILTY. There is no question about that and he doesn't deserve to draw another breath. Yea, I think you could be right! I'm just having some issues with a family member, above and beyond the call of duty and the antics today have left my jaw hanging open in disbelief!

I agree. I thought it was kind of sad when she said that because of who she was that she had to be careful as to who she let into her life. But that makes sense, shes been burned by her own family, so how could you trust a stranger? I'm happy that Patricia seems to be grounded, her children sounded intelligent and they seemed happy to just have a new family member. I hope it works out well for all involved.
