  1. Yes, they look like fools, but they think they look SOOO cool. Idiots!
  2. Thats it in a nutshell. I want to be thought of at a moment that is not expected. Just before Christmas, Hubby called before he came home and said, 'I got you something today'. I thought he meant for Christmas. But when he came in, I had to close my eyes and he had brought me a 6 pack of Orange Crush in bottles. I LOVE ORANGE CRUSH in bottles and to know that at an uneventful moment he thought about me, means WAAAAAY more than any Valentines present ever could.
  3. They surely did. There is an outdoor track and field event in April, I think at North Paulding high school. We're really looking forward to that one too.
  4. Exactly. I always told my girls to skip the romantic, charming men and go with the one who would hold your hair back while you were puking.......those are the real keepers, and luckily we all three have keepers!!
  5. You're right, I never realized that. It's funny because Hubby works outside and when we compare our skin tones, I look like a piece of notebook paper next to him, and he wears sunscreen.
  6. I hate Valentines day, we do exchange cards but thats it. I figure if Hubby can't bring me flowers on any given day besides a day that it is expected, he can keep them and he KNOWS way better than to SEND flowers. Anyone can pick up the phone, use a credit card and let someone else do the work.
  7. How often can we vote? I just tried again and it wouldn't let me.
  8. $25.00 for a 10 hour day, thats close to nothing. $2.50 an hour, WOW! Thats less than what I paid 25 years ago, I had no idea.
  9. ....Paulding Bowling Center. They hosted a Special Olympics event yesterday and everyone had a blast. My granddaughter participated and for a small moment in time, every special needs child there was just a kid bowling and having fun. The volunteers were wonderful and helpful. There were several high schools that sent students and they couldn't have worked any better with these kids. I appreciate all teachers because in a million years I couldn't do it, but as I saw all the special ed teachers with their students yesterday, I realized that their job is even more challenging than usual.
  10. Thank you!! I think he did....really! Most people don't believe I'm as old as I am, which totally works for me! When my daughters and I are all out together, everybody thinks we're sisters. I learned a long time ago that hair color is your friend or at least it is mine!!
  11. And that is why I don't go in the sun. Even when we go to the beach for a week in the summer, I wear 50 sunscreen on my body and only get a little color on my legs. Never on my face. I wear a huge hat, huge glasses and even huger sun screen, almost 50 years young and not a single wrinkle.
  12. I remember several years ago in Powder Springs a young girl in a red car went missing and there was no sign of her at all for a couple of years. There is a lake on Macland rd. and one year when we were in a severe drought, the lake level lowered and they found her in her car. It had been submerged in the lake all that time. Sad, sad, sad.
  13. I'm sorry, but I don't know you (thank goodness)!!!! Forget the captions for a second, but could this woman actually believe that she looks good? Could a little known disease make your skin do this? YUK1 YUK! YUK!
  14. What a sad outcome and they probably took it more seriously because the circumstances were different.
  15. Do her parents think that she left home with the intention of harming herself? That would be a valid reason to think that she's a missing person, but not if she left and just won't talk to them.
  16. Agreed. For her family to continue in this vein, it diminishes REAL 'missing persons' cases. If I didn't show up where I was supposed to be or didn't answer my phone for any given time, my family would be concerned. If I didn't come home one night with no word, there would absolutely be cause for concern and it should be treated that way by law enforcement. But if I was acting odd, left on my own accord and they knew it, that's a totally different scenario. I can't imagine as a Mom not knowing where any of my children are, grown or not. I'm sure her parents are beside themselves and tha
  17. See, that is the ironic part to me. There are some of the most beautiful people in the world in Hollywood and those same people are some of the most insecure. WTH? Added to the fact that often, very creative people from artists and singers to actors, are also the most tormented for whatever reason. I just don't get it, you have so much and can offer so much, but you let your own head get in the way. CRAZY!
  18. I feel about the same as you do. It is much harder for a woman to marry 17 years her junior than it is a man, it's sad but true. When is the last time you heard about a man with these same kinds of problems because he was married to a young hottie? I also have a REAL HARD TIME feeling sorry someone who has so much to be thankful for, that whines and acts like a two year old. I'm sure she is heartbroken over the fact that her marriage is over, but how much did her own insecurities and paranoia contribute to that? People break up everyday and don't revert back to a teens behavior. The 9
  19. Could the school counselor recommend someone?
