  1. We were in North Carolina last Thanksgiving and made a pretty large purchase at 1:00am at a Black Friday sale and the next morning we went to buy gas, our card was declined. In about 10 seconds from the decline, my phone rang and it was customer service verifying that we had made the large purchase the night before. I said yes and my card was ready to use again immediately. Works for me!
  2. Why on earth would anyone think that this technology was a good idea? We have no RFID in any of our cards and don't want it.
  3. I'll never understand how the religious population that is so against gays, think somehow that if 2 gay people marry it is somehow going to take away from their own marriage. Are they so worried and unstable in their own marriage that seeing people happy and well adjusted somehow threatens them? I've been married 28 years and never once did I think that a gay union took away from my vows with my husband. As long as you stay out of my bed, I couldn't care less who anyone sleeps with, why are so many others so interested?
  4. We LOVED it! I actually tried something new and it was WONDERFUL! It could be the beginning of my branching out in the food dept. Hubby is happy!
  5. I don't blame you, I'm always excited to go out with Hubby even if it's just to McDonalds. We ate at a place called Chicken and the Egg on Thursday for lunch and it was the BEST food I've had in a while. Hubby doesn't like meatloaf and he couldn't keep his fork off out of mine! For the two of us for lunch, including a drink, it was $19.08. We're planning on going back this Thursday for another lunch special. It's on Whitlock just past Burnt Hickory rd. Delicious!!!!
  6. We haven't been in about 6 months, but what a shame that would be if they let it go to He!! in a hand basket?
  7. Keep us posted and let us know if you find your things...GOOD LUCK!!!!
  8. Are you freakin' kidding' me, I think you found him! You go girl! What are the odds that it's NOT the thief? WOW!!!! I HATE CRAIGS LIST! Hubby had 5th grader with him last week at a gun show, called and told me that he saw a car on CL that he was going to run look at and I nipped that in the bud REAL quick. If he wants to go alone, fine, I'll not like it, but he was NOT going to take 5th grader into who knows what kind of situation. He thinks I'm crazy! It would be great is the victim could get a 'friend' who just happened to be a policeman to go with him and check it out. If it was his
  9. I remember his pig tattoos now, I liked him.
  10. Mi Son-in-law loves this meal!!! OMG, I love cornbread and milk. Crackers in milk too!! YUMMY!
  11. You know how to live, I'm tellin' ya'!!
  12. My mother LOVED Spam. She'd take it out of the can and get the ook off of it, slice off a big slab and fry it with onions, then eat it on a sandwich. She also loved Claxton Fruit cake.
  13. My favorite restaurant in Atlanta is The Capital Grill. We have been several times for our anniversaries and have never been disappointed. The issue with me is, that if I'm going to splurge on an extravagant meal, I want to know I like it. I don't want to chance paying $200.00 for a meal for two and not like it. Hubby is ready to try anything, me......not so much, I'm not at all adventurous when it comes to food.
  14. My money is protected with my debit card, I can dispute charges and it's handled just like a credit card dispute. I had several charges in Ohio, where I have never been, it totaled almost $1800.00, I called the bank, explained the situation and they faxed me an affidavit to sign swearing they weren't my charges. My money was back in my checking account before the bank closed that afternoon. Maybe it's because it's a credit union.
  15. I have always used the 3-2-1 method and everyone LOVES them. 1 lb roll sausage (I use hot) 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese 3 cups Bisquick water Let cheese and sausage set out until room temp. Mix all three ingredients and sprinkle with water so the mixture isn't too dry. Roll into balls and cook on 350 for 15-18 minutes until brown. Remember to spray your pan with Pam or use parchment paper so they won't stick. I also add cayenne pepper because Hubby likes them hot. Good luck.
  16. Forget Thanksgiving, I want that for dinner tonite! YUM! Thanks for the recipe.
  17. That is correct. If Clark had been there, people would have been upset that they were there and not available for county 911 use.
  18. I don't understand how it's safer to use a credit card than a debit card. With a credit card, I swipe it and go, I could be ANYONE using ANYONE elses card. With a debit card, I MUST use a PIN or it will not be approved. I'll use a PIN any day over random approval for anyone and everyone using a credit card.
