Need recommendations on mens electric shavers...
dawneykids replied to dawneykids's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I like that idea and I think he would too. Thanks!! He has had a beard several times, I just like his face smooth. My daughter told him to grow a beard last night because she said he looked good with one, but he told her, 'But I sleep with your mom and she likes my face smooth'. Good answer!! -
I H-A-T-E it when 'Hubby' calls me by my name, it usually means I'm in trouble for something. My name is Dawn and my mom always called me Dawney, so that's what he calls me too. Even the people at his office call me that. 'I'm glad you wrote this because I call 'Hubby' 'Poppy' at home. It's what the grandbabies call him, but I have had people comment at times that they thought it was weird that I called him that. I don't think it's odd, it's just who he is.

My husband is only 'Hubby' on Pcom. I don't do it to be cute, just to refer to him and not use his name.

We heard them too, it was kind of odd.

Need recommendations on mens electric shavers...

I think you've convinced me to stick with soap and razor. I love it when he finishes shaving and his face is oh so smooth. I did buy him round cake soap and a brush like my grandfather used to use and he likes that a lot. Maybe he's has the right idea all along, I'd hate to spend the money and him end up not using it. -

Hubby loves his razor and shave cream as well and he's always said that an electric razor causes ingrown hairs. I think he's just tired of shaving as much as I like for him to, which for me would be everyday, I like a smooth face. So he expressed interest, but I'm clueless about razors. I'll look into that one, I did see it on Amazon. Thanks! -
Hubby has never wanted an electric shaver, until now. There are the 'straight' ones and the ones with the 3 'coils', brands, prices, etc. Any help would be appreciated!! Thanks!!

Sounds like a kook from what I've read. And how on earth could he be broke if Intel bought him out for $7 billion? -
I did something similar for Hubby several years ago and I add to it periodically. I wrote on strips of paper, 'I remember..............XXXXXXX', like the first time we kissed, how happy he looked on our wedding day or something that only the two of us would know was special. I picked out a nice font on the computer and printed them up and folded them so each one he opened would be a surprise. I put them in a nice wooden box and they are on a side table in our bedroom. I went into our room a couple of months ago and there he was in the floor reading them, it was pretty cool.

All the advice you have gotten is great. 5th grader is training now for his black belt in Pil Sung do and I was staggered by the $225.00 fee. But, I knew it when he started and the investment of time and money has been a lot, but the benefits have been great, for him and for us. Also, the gym that he goes to, you pay the monthly fee and he can attend as many classes as we want to take him to. If it's 1 or 6 a week, the fee is the same. We did check into a few that the fee is based on a per class scale. Good luck!

What you said.

I have no patience or sympathy for ANYONE who drives drunk. ZIP. ZILCH. NADA.

No clue. I usually don't want anything big, I'm pretty low maintenance. I did tell Hubby when he asked 2 days ago, that I'd rather take a trip than have something I don't need or want. With all the OT he's getting with this storm up north, I could choose somewhere good.

Isn't this what they call 'old news'?

I do believe that it's Monday and Sunday that they are closed. I do my best!

My son in law works for the city of Atlanta, they are off today for Veterans day and have to work on Thanksgiving day. Weird! 911 daughter also has to work. Hopefully all the people Georgia Power sent to the northeast will be back and Hubby will be off, if not, he wont. Today is his 16th 12 hour day in a row, he's weary.

Try the Paulding Senior Community Center, I think they have all kinds of senior programs.

They were open on Sundays quite a while ago, now Tue-Sat. Love West Metro, I buy there every week.
