  1. Yea, exactly! I saw it with my own eyes as did Hubby.
  2. ICK! Who was the person who decided that this girly man was too sexy??? YUK!
  3. A tiny hijack here......speaking of sheriffs deputies, 'to the H.E.A.T. unit heading toward Macland on Bobo rd. yesterday morning at 10:52am: In case you hadn't heard, TEXTING WHILE DRIVING IS AGAINST THE LAW IN THE STATE OF GEORGIA. I would think you would know that. And to be holding the steering wheel with your wrists while you hold the phone above it for all the world to see what you're doing.....NOT COOL'. Hijack over.
  4. That makes waaay too much sense, so I'm sure that's not how it will be handled. Once again, the cynic in me rears it's ugly head.
  5. WTH!?!?!?! It makes me scared to drive on 2 lane roads, especially on the weekends after 10:00PM.
  6. And how sad is that? You vote for the people that you hope have the country's best interests at heart and that's what they tell on the campaign trail and then, like you said, they go where the money is. Cynical? Sure. But is it the truth? I think so.
  7. Yea, I agree with you. Why not issue them drivers licenses too? I don't understand how anyone thinks that a blind person pointing and shooting a gun at anything is a good idea.
  8. What do the servicemen and women take an oath to do when they join the AMERICAN military? I thought it was to keep US safe and to keep our borders secure? Am I wrong and they actually swear to keep the entire world safe and sound in their beds? I'm sorry, but if I were a military person being sent all around the world to keep people I have absolutely no connection with safe, to fight their battles, etc., I'd be pretty POed.
  9. The PSC regulates what GPC can charge for power and employee wages aren't a consideration in their decision. They deny rate increases as well as approve them and wages aren't effected one way or the other. Power companies can't raise prices at will to cover inflated wages, it doesn't work that way. So, in a nutshell, your point is is that if employers paid workers a living wage, taxpayers could be off the hook for all the assistance for the people who can't make enough to support themselves and their families. Ergo, the economy would improve all the way around. Makes sense to me.
  10. I often wonder where people have to be in such a hurry to risk their own lives as well as everyone elses to pass on curves or on hills and I see it all the time. It's scary!
  11. Practically any impact broadside is bad, fast or slow.
  12. He still makes less than the average lineworker in America. Would you work on energized powerlines and risk your life every time you did it for minimum wage? And car manufacturing can be done anywhere, power generation can't. People can do without huge, gas guzzling vehicles made in Detroit, but no one can go without power. So, yes the market warrants that pay raise if people want lights and A/C. Power lines, underground and overhead, aren't going anywhere anytime soon and as long as they're around with the risk that is involved, people will have to be paid to repair and build them. And
  13. Yes and there was one up on 41 too, next to where Kohls is now.
  14. No, I can't. That's the very reason I HATE for follow a friend or loved one anywhere. I've had too many family members killed in accidents to think it can't happen again, 2 in three days in 2 separate accidents.
  15. Bottom line for me; if I need an ambulance, call 911 and a reliable, capable, prompt service shows up at my house to help, that's all I care about.
  16. I read that in the paper this morning. Had he been drinking? The paper said that he turned left in front of the truck that hit him.
  17. I tried to be impressed and have compassion for the drunk driver, but it just didn't happen. Responsible behavior comes on the front end of an action, not on the back end after you've killed someone.
  18. We call that 'going to Earnieville'. There used to be a restaurant called Earnies and every time we ate there one of us got explosively ill. It took a few times to put two and two together, but now if we have any tummy issues, one of us will say, 'Ya' going to Earnieville'?
  19. I found this too, it's less. http://www.dwaynesphoto.com/newsite2006/info-film-processing.html
  20. This costs an arm and a leg, but it's the only place I found that will do 110. http://www.filmrescue.com/old-still-film-developing/
  21. I think it's Ritz Cameras, it used to be Wolfe.
