  1. I never heard anymore. I don't know if they changed frequencies, or what, but I never heard the helicopter landing, or anything further. I am praying for the bike rider and his family. I could tell by the voices of those on the scene that it was very bad.
  2. LZ will be at Hosiery Mill Rd & East Paulding Dr. We have very professional rescue/safety personnel. It is always tough when you can hear the urgency & emotion in their voices.
  3. Giving Emory Air coordinates of Old Cartersville & Hwy 381. They will advise of LZ.
  4. It's very hard to hear some of the officers on scene. Now they're advising Old Cartersville between Bone Circle & Hwy 381. I believe I heard near Johnson Ridge subdivision. They've asked for help 10-18 (quickly.)
  5. We have another bad accident on Cartersville Hwy. @ Old Cartersville Rd. I know there was a motorcycle involved, and first responders have advised severe injuries. A helicopter is on standby. Start praying, folks.
  6. It's Cindy Ct. in Lake Swan (Carrington Pointe) subdivision. (This is the 2nd 10-44 attempt I've heard today. Sad.)
  7. God bless you, Lisa. This is such a very difficult time for you. I'm glad to know you had some special time together before he passed - memories that you will treasure forever in your heart. He has left an incredible legacy behind. Thank you for being faithful to pass that legacy on!
  8. Just as there's no such thing as a "code red" in the Marines. "YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!"
  9. I wonder if his blue jeans are acid washed, and if his hair is in a mullet (with a perm in the back no less!)
  10. He must be running back to the '80s! Sorry, I know it was bad, but I couldn't resist.
  11. From what I heard, it is at 4422 Nebo Rd. Cross street of Lake Swan Court. There is a construction site nearby, because that has caused some trouble with the deputies hearing the suspect. The suspect's house has cameras set up all over the house and property. This is very close to Nebo Elementary & SPMS. (I've called my mom, too. She's about a block away!)
  12. Actually, if you listen to the scanner archives, the med call stated that those who called this in believed the man to be on meth. Dallasgirl wasn't speaking out of turn.
  13. The deputy called back asking if Rescue was en route and advised that she was unconscious. Next thing he said was to cancel Rescue, he was 10-95.
  14. Thank you. I appreciate it very much. My main concern is for children who are waiting. (And unfortunately in this day & time, it doesn't necessarily have to be "young" children who are sought out. There are many stories of children 12 & older who are abducted.)
  15. I don't want to scare people unnecessarily, but I was bothered by this all day long yesterday. On the way to drop the kids at school, I noticed a van pulled over at Cole Lake Rd & Scoggins Rd. There were 2 patrol cars on scene. I dropped one child at school, and as we came back by about 10 minutes later, the driver was out of the car. Something about just didn't look right to me (I can't tell you what it was - maybe it was just a gut feeling.) When I got to the office, I went to the scanner archives to find out about the traffic stop. This driver was pulled over because t
  16. They said there were no patients and canceled Rescue. But they have closed the road, notified the DOT and the School Board. Confirmed fatality. (I don't know how many.)
  17. We didn't assist at all. I just called it in, because it was highly suspicious. By the time my husband got to the highway in his truck, the officers had him in custody. The deputy came back to our house to look around for others. I was on the phone & told the dispatcher that an officer was with my husband, so we hung up. They had him in the back of the car before the call came through their radios! I asked my husband if he flagged down the deputy. He said "Flagged him down?! Look!!!" He pointed at the highway, and there were deputies with dogs everywhere! What a sight at 7AM.
  18. One of these guys came to our door this morning @ 6:45 trying to get in to hide! (He said his car broke down a mile up the road & he needed to use the phone.) We told him to stay there & we'd call the sheriff's office to come help him. He ran back toward Hwy 61. By the time I called the SO & my hubby got in the truck to go look for him, the deputies had arrested him. (They were already on the hunt with dogs!) Way to go Paulding Co SO!!!
