No kidding. Oh wait. You probably meant ME. >>sigh<<

I try to say something in jest, and it's taken seriously. I try to say something serious, and it's taken as a joke. My PM box explodes either way. So, just to CMA, I apologize now if I offend you, and I appreciate if I make you laugh. Whether I'm joking or not. Thanks.

I'm no global warming nut, but I think if we have viable alternatives to using up the Earth's resources, we should embrace them. But if you enjoy holding the daily paper in your hands as you read it, having a tree in your house for Christmas that was grown JUST for you to cut and decorate, diapering your grandkids with un-biodegradable disposable diapers...hey, go for it! It's your choice and your responsibility.

Ditto. Trees die for every print newspaper or book we hold and appreciate. And me? I adore books and could metaphorically live on them, but realistically, I (and this planet) need what trees in their uncut form give me more than I need to hold a book or newspaper in my hands.

That's the spirit!!

Newspapers fail because all of their content (including coupons) is available for free on the Internet. Or maybe because they don't deliver to the OP?

Three years and 5 months ago, my neighbor and her two teenage daughters were brutally murdered in their home, just two doors down from my own home. Two young boys were also beaten and left for dead, and it was two days before the crime was discovered. The murders go unsolved to this day. In retrospect, all of us who live here and who have had to deal emotionally with this horrible event question ourselves about things we might have seen that were out-of-the-ordinary but not HUGE enough to make us stop and take notice. And trust me, we all saw or heard something, but none of it was "big

Evolution Gave Us Built In Stress Reliever: Breathing
TabbyCat replied to zoocrew's topic in RECENT TOPICS
As a recently-reformed smoker, I don't take it for granted. Didja notice the link is to an NPR article? And that we breathe because of evolution? Beats the heck out of sucking mud into tadpole lungs, huh? -
I think also the time change (reduced daylight) along with real winter weather gets people feeling a bit low. And the holidays don't help much. And inlaws.

Evolution Gave Us Built In Stress Reliever: Breathing
TabbyCat replied to zoocrew's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I just like breathing. It's actually one of the things...ok, maybe THE thing I am most thankful for every day. Life just wouldn't be the same without it! -
 Imitation "they" say, is the sincerest form of flattery-- I am SO flattered!! And prettier.

Anyone else watching "What Would You Do?" on ABC?
TabbyCat replied to TabbyCat's topic in RECENT TOPICS
It's hard to give enough significance to, really. It's people out in public confronting their teens (supposedly) who "come out." And the Moms are just wicked evil about having "gay" kids. It's sickening, but it's interesting to watch. What is the meaning of "unconditional love"? -
Illinois Makes 6th State to Approve Civil Unions for Gays
TabbyCat replied to zoocrew's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Not many things leave me pretty much speechless...but your comment does. Ack. I feel a bit ill. And sorry for you at the same time. -
Wow... Tune in if you're not watching anything else right now?

Thank you my friend for drawing attention to one of our local heroes and his family!

Dur. The OP isn't in jail. Did I miss where there was a contest? You win.

Man, I'm sorry people were so nasty with you when you asked a question out of concern. I wanted to say something, but I didn't know what to say... I'm sorry to hear about the situation you have found yourself in because of your son's actions. It's cruel for people to ASSume things about you as a parent just because your son has made bad choices. Sometimes kids raised in the best way possible still make bad choices. Anyway, I'm sorry to see you were hurt when you were reaching out for help. I hope you can find the help you need. And...just so you know...even though you hav

I didn't get the memo, and I didn't know it was a rerun. My husband and I watched it...and...he SUCKED. No talent whatsoever. Geez he couldn't carry a tune if you gave him a forklift. What amazes me is that anyone actually *likes* his raped version of "music."

You used the clean version when you were alone in your car? The gloves are off when I'm alone in my car. No dishrags for me. Uht uh. I'm all out tellin' it like it is. You might blush even if I used the rhyming versions.
