Maybe you ought to go back and look at the paperwork that instituted the referendum in 1999 over the airport. Nah, I'll save you the effort. Know who made the motion to put the airport vote to the public? Know who seconded that motion? Carruth and Leggett. Funny how they can change their opinions on something they started. Rumor (well founded) has it that Leggett's "silent" campaign manager is none other than Jerry Shearin. Shearin, as you well know, is the guy behind the airport, always was and always will be. Virginia Galloway's husband was Shearin's biggest supporter wit -

Damn, I hope none of the neighborhood kids scribbled "Trump" on your sidewalk with their chalk. For a group of 6 or 7 "anti's" to have lunch at Audreys' Cafe with a candidate for Chair and not post a complete transcript of all the comments is just outrageous. I hereby demand that you identify each and every person present at that meeting and report everything that was said, including all campaign strategies and supporters and sources of the campaign's funds. How do you like them apples? -

Does it make you guys feel good to rip Dave Carmichael and the Austins ? You can hand it out, but not take it. Gotcha. -
Yes, I understand that. And, does that not imply that the school endorses the product or service being advertised? Why is public property being used to advertise for private businesses?
-
Speaking of the school board... I'm wondering how school property (taxpayer paid-for property) can be used for signboards advertising private companies? The fence in front of the field at EPHS is beginning to look like a flea market lives there.

Yep. A one-trick pony. And his time in the spotlight is waning. Somehow, his dementia has led him to believe that every negotiation or inquiry between a business and a governmental agency should be passed in front of him and his 3 or 4 "anti" minions for approval before anybody takes another breath. What he doesn't know, or chooses to ignore, is that the private enterprise (whatever their industry) has competition, pricing, and trade secrets that they don't want made public when negotiating with a governmental agency (or any other user). Many agencies do not release the names -

Another evasive non-answer. Are ya stumped? It's either "yes" or "no". -

Putting aside, for the moment, all of your repetitive babble about alleged secret deals, could you please answer just one simple question? Do you, or do you not, support free enterprise? -

You DO realize that you just agreed with my theory which I posted in #12 above? And WHO has deep pockets and would "rescue" poor little Paulding County and take that white elephant airport off their hands? And what better way to assure that happens than to keep commercial flights from getting started in the first place? The "anti's" are getting played like a fiddle on Hee-Haw. And the Good 'Ol Boy cartel is pulling the strings on 3 of the 5 candidates for Chair. Along with all 4 of the Post Commissioners. Because, for Heaven's sake, we Paulding Countians could never let fr -

The initial ratings of the runway's capacity were later upgraded. To about 160% of the original number, as I remember. -

Actually, this group of 4 commissioners is trying to break a legally binding contract put in place by the previous BOC. And, if you think they are doing it for "the citizens".....SMH. Your figures are correct...however, the two planes you mentioned, depending on their configuration, seat anywhere from 120 to 170 passengers. That passenger count ain't likely to happen at SCF anytime soon. -

Not a worry in the world about that. You call down to Savannah and make the arrangements, I'll be there. A C-130 has an operating weight of 83,000 lbs, and an allowable payload of 42,000 lbs. That total of 125,000 lbs is less than the FAA rating on Silver Comet field. That total weight is less than two 18 wheelers. -

Nor did it break the concrete runway...which is rated to handle most 737 class and smaller aircraft. (Another "anti" argument up in smoke) That has nothing at all to do with the runway weight capacity. A fully loaded C130 is still less than the runway maximum, given the number of tires on that aircraft. -

So, from all your (half)-vast aeronautical engineering experience, just what weight limitations do you think are on the runway at SCF? -

I did check with my "people". The GA Air National Guard brought a C-130 into SilverComet for an air show. -

If the IBA and the PCAA aren't "us", who are they? I understand the comparison between backing bonds and co-signing for a kid's car. Which brings up the point of all this. If you co-sign a car note for a kid who has little to no income, you are bound to have to come up with the money sooner or later. So, when all the "geniuses" decided to start filing lawsuits and obstructing the business side of the airport (effectively unemploying the kid whose car note they had signed) what did they expect? As I've tried to reason all this out, and looking at the personalities and app -

I'm really surprised that Whitey and his G-O-B minions haven't had a word to say. Of course, if I were them, I wouldn't want to be gloating about such blatant stupidity. (Not that it has stopped them any time before). -

Yep. You and the rest of the "anti's" are, without a doubt, candidates for psychological help.
