I think that happened on 9/11 in an airliner somewhere over Pennsylvania, didn't it?

And the pseudo-intellectual arrogance of the left appears once again. Always willing to take away the rights of many to assuage the ignorant fears of a few. -

Not according to you and the Chicken World 4. -
We use East Paulding and have for the last 18-20 years. Our favorite vet there is Dr. Ken Wegenhart.

Who do you support for Chairman in the runoff

The ballot question was about the issuance of bonds to purchase land to be used for an airport. Not IF there should be an airport (or not), but how it was to be paid for. I voted against the bond issue. But that didn't mean I was opposed to an airport development, just the manner in which it was to be paid for. By your "reasoning", voting against a tax increase means you are in favor of anarchy. -

Of course, the County might not need so much legal representation if the Chicken World 4 weren't filing suits against the County's own agencies. I had asked the same question several years ago and I seem to remember the answer was that staff attorneys couldn't appear in court on behalf of the county. I don't know if that was because of a law/regulation or if it was a policy set by the BOC? -
Please point out where I said the vote was unanimous? I said, simply, that it PASSED. What I said was exactly TRUE. Drama queen.
-
You ARE pretty disagreeable, so that comes as no big surprise.
-
Uhhh...the IGA was PASSED by a vote of the full BOC. The 3 (now 4) "anti's" came into office after the IGA was instituted. You need to check your timing and facts. There was no "end run". And yeah, I know some pretty despicable stories about Leggett.

I see. So, does the fact that you agree with Whitey make you a rubber stamp, too?
-
I didn't think you'd have much to say about that.

In denial much?

It'll be someone with a degree from a prestigious university and many years of experience in leadership and budget management. I understand that you may disagree with some of Dave's positions. And that's OK. He made his voting decisions based on the facts as they were presented to him and what he felt was in the best interest of this County. Not to line his pockets or feed his ego. I'm certain if you were to see Col. Carmichael's DD-214, or Mr. Carmichael's personnel files during his employment by the State, or in his files during his tenures as a Board Member or a Commissioner

Childish or not, the real question is, was his description of any of them untrue? You may not have liked how he said it, but the facts are the facts...Marco has really SMALL hands. -

I would have liked to see a ticket of Carly and Condi. Or vice-versa. I heard yesterday that Condi is at the Ladies' PGA tourney this week. Just in case DJT needs to get in touch with her. (Saying long, fervent prayer that will happen). -

Positions vs personalities. When you despise the candidate and her positions, the decision is pretty easy. When you like the positions and dislike the person, your answer is to hold your nose whilst voting. -

An amended Part 139 application was submitted following the intergovernmental agreement which removed the BOC from any supervision or control over SCF. Checkmate. -

Uhhhh...you better go check on that. The land where SCF lies is owned by the PCAA. There is a small tract of land inside the general area of the airport that had been owned by the IBA.. A contract and payment thereof was executed transferring that tract to the PCAA. I understand that the deed may not have been recorded yet , but the contract is valid nevertheless. The BOC has ONE vote on the IBA and ONE vote on the PCAA. (The County Chairman). The BOC has no real estate interest in, or managerial authority over SCF....other than the 1/9th voice of the Chairman in the 2 b -

The Part 139 Cert is nothing more than approval by the FAA that an airport meets certain physical standards to accommodate ticketed passengers. A cargo jet does NOT need 139 Cert., nor does any corporate passenger jet. Military aircraft are excluded, also. The BOC has little to no say about whether the FAA issues the 139, because the PCAA made the application. The BOC has, in reality, no legal standing in that application. (Other than the BOC Chairman's vote on the board of the PCAA) The overriding issue on "commercial service" (i.e., ticketed passengers) is not anywhere near t
