That article is fundamentally flawed...actually lots of it are just outright lies. How would the author KNOW if the Chamber had a lack of leadership at the helm? He isn't a member of the Chamber to start with. He mentioned the past 8 years....and he hasn't lived in the county anywhere near that long. Another reference was made about 60% of the voters being upset with the BOC. That's funny, because the election turnout is about 15% most of the time.

Actually, I think Whitey is being rather consistent. His disdain for Leggett was in place long before this Chairman's race. The fact that Leggett did a 180* about-face on the airport, hoping to get support from a very vocal cadre of "anti's" shows plenty about his motivation. And so does every 7-year old in the country. BFD I have been around Leggett on two different occasions. Most recently on an elevator at the courthouse. We got on at the same time. He never even looked at me, nor smiled, or offered to introduce himself...all the while wearing one of his campaign shirts. He didn't know me, didn't know if I was a supporter or an adversary. I came away with the opinion that he is a prick. I know if I were running for office, I'd be smiling and sticking my hand out to everybody I came close to, not being an scowling arsehole like he was.

I'd like to ask all you Leggett supporters a serious question: Do you honestly believe, down deep in your heart of hearts, that your man is smart enough to run a County government?
