Al Qaeda wasn't in IRAQ when Saddam was in power.
-
We don't know that is what happened. My gut feeling tells me he wasn't right in the head PTSD and I bet after being a POW for so long he really has it now. I try to look for the good in people and not assume the worst. I wouldn't assume he was a deserter and leave him over there to die, we bring him back and find out the truth. I just don't agree with the way they did it. From what I understand no one died looking for him. Tell it to CHUCK. http://www.wsj.com/articles/chuck-hagel-unaware-of-soldiers-killed-in-search-for-bowe-bergdahl-1401886798

Other than setting up some permanent bases over there, which they didn't want us to do, how do we finish this job? How many years does it take to train someone who will just walk away and give up?
-
LOL I saw that on Facebook. Shocked No, not really.

You have a right to your opinion just like I do.

I was a Legal YN in the Navy just so you know. Even if he is a Traitor we learn we never leave no man behind. I don't agree with 5 of theirs for one of ours though! Obama is the Commander in Chief so he is the boss.
-
We were there what 10 years? How long do you want us to stay? I figured when the war started we would always have a base there like Germany and Japan. Like I said if you want to keep it going and sending the same guys over there for 4-5 tours bring back the Draft so all Americans have something at stake. Well then there you go. We should have stayed out of Iraq and let Saddam stay in power. When we invaded that is when they came. IRAQ had nothing to do with 911.

What I read. ""Those charges carry a maximum sentence of five years in prison upon conviction, but sources tell NBC News the Army is considering crediting Bergdahl for the 5 years he spent in captivity and be given the opportunity to avoid prosecution by leaving the Army with a "less than honorable discharge." "If accepted, Bergdahl could be denied as much as $300,000 in back pay and benefits and be reduced in rank from Sergeant to Private First Class or lower," according to NBC's report."

I am all about protecting the TROOPS. They elected their own GOVT in 2005. Did you ever think by us going over there and invading that country, is what created ISIS in the first place? If we continue to invade country after country the DRAFT needs to come back so every American has some family member involved, especially the politicians that create the INVASIONS.

"Discussions about extending the stay of U.S. troops in Iraq ended in October, as the U.S.–Iraq Status of Forces Agreement was set to expire on Dec. 31, 2011. The Obama administration decided to remove all American forces from the country in part because members of the U.S. military would no longer enjoy immunity in Iraqi courts after the agreement expired."

YES! I love her outfit! -
"What any of the Republicans blaming Obama for pulling American troops out of Iraq in 2011 should remember, is that in October 2008 George W. Bush was president when the Status of Forces Agreement was drafted and ratified by Iraqi lawmakers a month later in November 2008. The pertinent part of the agreement that President Obama honored was that, “All the United States Forces shall withdraw from all Iraqi territory no later than December 31, 2011.”

What I heard was since he spent 5 years a POW he served enough time. He will probably be charged but no time served. This way he won't get all the perks of being a VET.

When DS was interested in joining the military and asked our opinion, we said Coast Guard or Air Force. Coast Guard had on average a 18 month wait and the Air Force was more like 8-12 months, so Air Force it was. Funny the only Branch that would send my sons mail trying to get them to join was the Marines while in HS. The Navy did send my youngest son mail trying to get him to go ROTC. There is a big difference between serving Active Duty and being a Weekend Warrior. You even asking this proves you never served! Don't post you served 25 years when most of that was sitting at home!
-
How many of them were Active duty? 10 maybe?
-
If they are doing background cks on them what is the big deal? I just automatically think of Middle or HS kids as being targets of rape. Elementary kids? That is really sick, aren't they supervised at all times or with other kids? How would this even happen? Let the current people keep their jobs or hire them with the new company.
-
Have you seen the kids now a days? They are bigger than me by the 8th grade. I seriously doubt these guys or gals would rape someone. My daughter is probably a foot taller to begin with. No we are just losers. I don't want people to lose their jobs either. That we can agree on. I was a contractor and when contracts weren't renewed the new company tended to hire the current employees. Do you think that could be possible if it comes to it?
-
I was pointing out to FOX that contractors did most of the cleaning not the NAVY folk. PAX River is a Navy base. Mad that they didn't join the AF?
-
Pretty sure when I was going thru Basic Training/AIT back in the Mid 80's we had civilians running the kitchens and serving us the food.
-
At PAX River, we had contractors come in and clean everyday. First LT (NAVY) would do some cleaning but it was mainly the Contractors.

I had a neighbors tree years ago fall onto my truck and house. I was going to be out of 1500 ded total. I went to him, his insurance covered it and he didn't have to pay a ded. Problem solved...He had another huge dead tree very close to my house. After the other incident, I sent him and my insurance company a letter asking for it to be removed before it hit my house, he took care of that too.

Just ck'd Student Prime is $49.00 a year after the 6 month Free Trial.
-
It has been going on in PTC too. They say Sonic Booms, Rock Quarry who knows what is causing it.

Darn read this to late. I will do it as long as my kids are in college after that I'll drop it. Is it free shipping for renting books even if you don't have Prime? When my DH was renting books a few years back I don't recall paying to ship, so now I'm 2nd guessing my decision.
