  1. If none of the money is coming out of your pocket (I bet you are using you 911 GI BILL) you cant claim anything. The one for my son shows what he is getting for Hope and the Total we paid. I get to write off what came out of my pocket. The fees/25% Tuition/Books/Room and Board etc.
  2. They said on TV if you had 2 MMR shots you only have a 1% chance in getting the measles. If memory serves me correct. My kids had it at 18 months and the 2nd right before middle school. I'm getting my blood ck'd Monday. She said it takes 48 hours for the results to come back.
  3. MAY and MIGHT are the key words. He is leaving anyway. Who is his replacement? ""I think it may require a forward deployment of some of our troops ...," he said. "I would say we're not there yet. Whether we get there or not, I don't know." Hagel's comments echoed testimony by General Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, to Congress last fall when he said U.S. troops might have to take a larger role on the ground in Iraq."
  4. I want a Shingles shot but I'm not old enough yet. I think you have to be 55 with my insurance to get it paid for.
  5. Yes, they still keep some taxes. My son got back all FED and GA. Thus the reason I said in the future to put Student Exempt if they don't expect to make much. Then they wouldn't even have to bother filing taxes and letting Uncle Sam keep the money all year. I didn't even know about this till a couple of months ago when a friend told me about it and she is a CPA.
  6. You are still supporting him, so he is your dependent.
  7. I went thru Army and Navy Basic Training/Boot Camp and got tons of shots. I was stationed overseas so I am probably good. Just getting the blood work to make sure. I really don't want to get a painful MMR shot if not necessary and YES that shot HURTS! I remember from my kids getting it and the nurse even saying its a painful one.
  8. My youngest son is a Freshman. He made less than 1000 last year. I helped him file his own taxes and I claim the college expenses and still claim him as a Dependent on my taxes. Forgot to add. Have him put Student Exempt on his W-4 and he won't even have to file next year.
  9. I'm getting a blood test done Monday. I think I'm good with the shots but not sure. I know for a fact I never had the measles. My MOM wouldn't get me vaccinated so I'm hoping the military gave me all of the shots I needed. I was there last summer and for the most part it was nothing but Hispanics at that park.
  10. No, I'm sorry. It was on the TV right after each other. I just saw one of the released terrorists was back at it. They didn't say which one.
  11. Nope. Are you getting your panties in WAD? I swear I'm insulting her, I'm insulting you. Really, If anything you have been the one insulting me in this thread.
  12. It's on the news right now along with them saying one of the 5 terrorists have returned to Terror. Put on CNN and you will see what I'm talking about.
  13. LOL I was talking about all of us.....Gotta come back with some kind of insult I see.
  14. I am starting to believe the TRUTH is only if you agree with it.
  15. 3 US Contractors killed in Afghanistan today. Was this his 1st deployment?
  16. I think he was...Or lets just say I hope he was. See that is what I don't get. I think he was crazy. If you don't want to be in the military now a days no one is forcing you to stay in. At least it is that way in the AF. On CNN right now one of those 5 let go has returned to TERROR!!!!
  17. From your link. "According to a senior U.S. official, Bergdahl told military officials that he had been tortured, beaten, and held in a cage by his Taliban captors in Afghanistan after he tried to escape.[61] He told medical officials that he was locked in a metal cage in total darkness for weeks at a time as punishment for trying to escape.[62]"
  18. That isn't Al Qaeda. Alleged links to Saddam HusseinIn the lead up to the 2003 invasion of Iraq, the Bush administration claimed that Ansar al-Islam had links with Saddam Hussein, attempting to establish a link between Hussein and al-Qaeda. The Senate Report on Pre-war Intelligence on Iraq, issued in 2004, concluded that Saddam "was aware of Ansar al-Islam and al-Qaeda presence in northeastern Iraq, but the groups' presence was considered a threat to the regime and the Iraqi government attempted intelligence collection operations against them. The Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) stated th
  19. That doesn't mean he was in the RIGHT mind. I will wait and see what the verdict is, because all we are doing is speculating.
  20. This one stands out. "Self-destructive behavior" Running off a base in a WAR ZONE sounds like some self-destructive behavior to me. http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/post-traumatic-stress-disorder/basics/symptoms/con-20022540
  21. Once again.....Al Qaeda wasn't in IRAQ when Saddam was in power. Memory refresher. http://www.nbcnews.com/id/5223932/ns/us_news-security/t/panel-sees-no-link-between-iraq-al-qaida/#.VMp_W_7F9pk
  22. That still doesn't mean he was RIGHT in the head. PTSD can make you do some CRAZY things. I don't see anyone in their right mind just leaving like that. He is lucky to even be alive. He went on a Suicide mission and wanted to die IMO.
