I am pretty busy right now and got to get to WORK...Don't really have time to read all of this..But I am just pointing out that I am A Navy Contractor. DOD I need a UNION right now...Because I am being told by my company that I am not allowed to come to work on a Friday that they are doing a Base Drill. I have it in writing that they are discouring us to come to work, but we still can. They want the companies to have us work from home or have an office set up outside the base. Or flat out just give us a day off with pay. The Navy is backing me up but I am getting no help from my LEAD.

I get paid time off on Federal Holidays.

Care to explain that one. I can tell you that we work WAYYYYYYYYYY harder than the Navy folks. They take 2 hour lunches come into work late etc I could go on and on but I won't...They are on shore duty and I feel like they deserve it. They work hard when they are on Sea duty 12+ hour days..I don't mind picking up some of the slack.

Nope all of the Union guys are getting a paid day off...For a base drill...Me being a low life contractor..I am being told I will not get paid and don't come to work. Just because the company is to cheap to pay us, on a normal day it comes out of Navy funds. I am just on here venting. ITA!!!! That is like saying every Lockheed employee is a loser..And the Delta pilots are losers..REALLY..I do get a kick out of reading some of this stuff. I really need a UNION where I work, because some of the stuff they try to get away with is UNBELIEVEABLE!!!!!!!!!! It does not happen to the guy

I see now that UNIONS are a GOOD thing...I hope my next job has a UNION. You get treated so bad and seem to have no rights without one.

TGIF Thank goodness it is Friday. It has been soooooooooooooo crazy busy at work. My eyes are killing me and I even had to put my reading glasses on for a bit. What does everyone have planned for the weekend? I think I will lay low and just watch movies. I'm toooo tired to even shop LOL

My views...I had kids till I had some of each sex. It took me 3 tries but now I have 2 handsome sons and a beautiful little girl. The GOVT/CHURCH has no say so in how many I have and how few I don't have.

He just took the youngest boy out driving for the first time ever. They cant get their learners permits in MD till they are 15years and 10months old. Ahhhh nice way to enjoy the day off LOL. I'm staying home and cooking ham and yams....Mac and Cheese. How are you spending your day? We woke up to Snow as they call it here SMOW...but it is melting fast.

If they were injured they would get disability. My boss was medically retired and gets 100% disability but he still has an office job as a contractor. Not to mention that money is not taxed and they get it for the rest of their life.

WOO HOO can we also add....No crying kids in restaurants on Valentines day. Nothing like trying to have a romantic dinner and have a baby sitting just a few feet in front of you. I left my grown and almost grown kids at home, which I know wouldn't be crying. Get a sitter DANG IT. And this wasn't a cheap restaurant. My meal was $8 bucks for 3 duck spring rolls and my fish dish was $26.00 so come on. OK vent over LOL LOL I pretty much hear this at work on a daily basis.

When I took my daughter to urgent care a few years back, they told me she had pneumonia and put her in an ambulance to Childrens Heathcare Hosp. So I know mine does. They let me ride along but I had to sit up front. They didn’t allow me to sit in the back with her for safety reasons. DH followed us in our SUV. If this poor kid needs surgery and this is the only place he can receive it, the insurance company needs to do the right thing and take care of him IMHO. GOOD NEWS!!!!!!!!

Why isn't the parents insurance company taking care of this child?

She was pregnant with her daughter in that video. I feel bad for her. I lost my mother at 24 I couldn't imagine 18 and the way it happend.
