What media? And since the facts show that the raid took place yesterday, why are people (on here) still repeating the lie/mistake, if not for the purpose of smearing the work of the military? How about providing a link that says, erroneously, that the attack was a week ago! I'm skeptical.
-
It's the misinformation and conspiracy (like birthers) crowd telling the tale that Bin Laden has been dead for a week. It's an attempt to make the USA mission seem to be less successful than it was, as a way of not giving the President his due congratulations. Pretty un-American, I think!
-
Y'all take note of the misinformation crowd. the stooges of the radical right, who are trying to undermine the President, regardless of the issue. These people are blatantly un-American, as evidenced here, as they try to tear down U.S. military success with insinuation and innuendo.
-
You're right. It's un-American to not share in the moment, but to try to undermine it with improper suggestions. The Executive Order was carried out and the Prime Objective was realized. Translated: We Did It! If a person can't share in the moment, then that person just isn't a part of the event. I don't know what that makes the person who can't share the pride - But the person who doesn't appreciate the accomplishment is not one of us!
-
A good American is saying, "Well Done, Mr. President". You can disagree with the man's ideology all you want to - But not giving him credit for giving the Executive Order to complete the Mission? Like I asked the other day ---- "What kind of person ARE you????"
-
Yes. Now that the Prime Objective has been reached. the ground troops should return to the homeland to --- protect our borders and be with their families. The Mission has taken its toll on everyone associated with the military. We should, indeed scale back ground troops and put fewer American lives at risk. I say let's use this time to regroup so that we can ready ourselves for the next miltary challenge.

I think that in addition to celebration, vigilance is in order.

People need to know that snakes rarely bite people. Snakes can only strike out about half of their body length. They have EXTREMELY poor vision and detect prey items with sensors on their tongue, which detect smell, vibrations and heat. Typically, a person's natural fear of snakes will have him/her step back from the snake. They won't pursue you and bite you. The next time you see a snake and start to panic, I suggest that you gather yourself and watch the snake for a moment, while addressing the irrational part of your fear. See, I'm not saying that fear of snakes is bad or that it is,

That's a good idea. LPPT, have you tried spraying the bark with pepper spray or some other sort of irritant? You might want to test it on one of the trees to see if it works. You'd test it, of course by raking the bark from below the test tree.

We'll just chalk it up to your individual reading comprehension level. ["I'm not sure what channel I was watching - It was only for about 10 minutes or so, but out of the thousands of people shown, I saw the one security guy. I'm sure that it was a coincidence."] What I had said was that I didn't watch the wedding. I did watch, as I said (see above) about ten minutes of the stuff leading up to it, the crowds on the streets, etc, That was about 45 minutes or more before the wedding (the bride was still at the hotel). Yes you can have it both ways. It is possible to observe those wh

Well articulated!

Thank you! I needed something to make me smile!

I'm not sure what channel I was watching - It was only for about 10 minutes or so, but out of the thousands of people shown, I saw the one security guy. I'm sure that it was a coincidence. How the hats are afixed to the head? Did y'all see, "Weekend at Bernie's"?
-
I don't have a cup of tea! I didn't watch the wedding, either. Doubtless that it will be shown ad nauseum throughout the weekend on t.v. I did see a few minutes of the procession, as the family arrived. It was odd to see no people of color in attendance. The only black person that I saw, out of several thousand people shown by the cameras was a security person carrying an automatic weapon. I thought that London was a fairly international city where there would be people of all backgrounds there. But not even in the crowd..... It's interesting to me that the young folks have n

Y'all be extra careful. This doesn't sound good. Don't fall for the bible ruse - It could be the same guy. For so many people to have had similar experiences - It's unlikely that all of these were harmless. Harmless happens on occasion, but there's no upside in giving the person the benefit of the doubt and opening the door. Don't be afraid to call the police to check out any suspicious person.

That's not true. Charles is next in the line of succession. He would have to abdicate the throne in favor of William. Charles' website indicates that he plans on being the King. The problem with his taking the throne is he is also the head of the church of England (they don't have separation of church and state there, either!) and the church condemns divorce. There's no indication that Charles has been forced out of the church for his indiscretion.

Everything that happens is "history". Whoever wins, "Dancing With The Stars" makes history. What does the matter of the inequity inherent in monarchies have to do with the politics of the President of the United States? That's your score-evener? The Joker? You may like scones, while I like a well-made biscuit. That's a personal choice that doesn't require any deeper thought than perhaps caloric intake. When you talk about watching and supporting the royal family, there's a support of a class system that I find unsupportable. Nothing wrong with English-types buying into it. It's a diff

The important thing is that they were not hurt. Stuff can be replaced. While I joke about storms to lighten the mood, I'm concerned for the safety of all. Sorry for the damage to the in-laws place, but it's a great thing that a tree went through their house and no one was injured!

This -- right now -- doesn't seem to be too bad. Sometimes weather people refer to "hit or miss" thundershowers. I think that means, "Either it Will rain - Or it won't"

"In between" is where most of the wind damage is! Oh, hail!!
