  1. That is what I was wondering. He is such a cute cat and I hate it your daughter cannot keep him. We have two dachshunds and a cat who all get along great and love each other. I would take him but am afraid he would feel out of place or threatened by our sweet animals. (I do not think they would not dare hurt him, but he wouldn't know that) GOOD LUCK on finding him a good and loving home.

I had a little weiner dog for 10 years, but after I moved out she got out and got killed. :(

It would probably be fine with other animals after it got used to them. He just hasn't been around any.

  2. I am willing to pay someone $50 as an incentive to take this cat. This would help someone with food and litter for awhile. I don't want anyone doing it just for the money, and my daughter will want to know who is getting it because she wants it to be taken care of, but I feel really bad for her and I told her I would help find a good home for it. I know lots of pets are out there, so this is why I am doing this. He is a great kitty.

  3. My daughter can no longer keep her cat due to her current circumstances. She loves this cat and wants to find it a good home. He is a really good cat and is larger than he looks in this picture (sorry, the quality is not too good). Below is what my daughter wrote. PM me if you know of anyone who wants a great pet.

THIS CAT NEEDS A GOOD HOME!

He is a male cat only 8 months old. He’s still just a kitten! He is very playful and very sweet. He’s short-haired, gray and white. He has been neutered and he has his rabies shot, which is the only shot required by the state of Georgia. He costs nothing. Certain circumstances that have arisen suddenly prevent the owner from keeping him. A pet carrier, litter box, food, litter, and food dishes will be given away with him. PLEASE if you know anyone who is in need of a good companion contact me via PM. He will have to go to the pound if a home is not found soon

  4. It is all rumor right now but if this is a mass "rif" as they call them yes, all stores will be hit. They will most likely cut PTers first and then full time in the speciality departments like kitchen design, PRO Desk, Flooring Sales etc. Again, I am only speculating as a former store and corporate employee but that is my guess.

You can't blame HD for this, with the economy down and the house market slumping they are simply losing too much money, they aren't going to keep employees on the pay roll if there is no work for them to do. Its sad but true.

I went into the one at Floyd Road and E/W Conn. in Austell today. Normally, you have to wait for a register, so I always do self checkout. Cashiers were angling for my attention to come to their register as I went to the self checkout. About 6 of them were just hanging out with nothing to do, as were many other employees in the store. I was wondering how long that would last before the axe started falling.

  5. I quit once by taking Wellbutrin, but the stuff turned me into a blithering idiot. Could not remember anything. I think the reason I quit smoking while using it was that I simply couldn't remember to smoke. After quitting the Wellbutrin I was back to smoking within weeks. I won't take Chantix because of this:

    Chantix Lawsuits

I am trying to quit, because my company just banned smoking on the property completelyl, so if I can go 9 hours I might as well quit completely. I have been using gum. It helps, but not much.

This is kind of gross, but I would like to know if it is true. WHo can tell me? A guy my husband works with quit smoking some time ago and he said after a while, I don't know how long, he would wake up in the mornings and find his white bed sheets were yellowed around where he had been sleeping. He claimed that it was the nicotine being released from his body after finally quitting. The whole idea of having nicotine "stored" in my body and skin would be reason enough to quit, especially if will seep out after quitting. Besides I would like to know if that's true from any of you who have been long term and fairly heavy smokers, at least a pack a day.

Never heard of it. Sounds like he wet the bed to me.

  6. LR, I have no problem with your posts about Caylee. As a matter of fact I read them and have probably responded. I doubt very seriously if Caylee's family is going to focus on the responses from this web site.

As for the local grieving family having there tragedy discussed here, I see this as being hurtful. :(

See, you get it. It is not likely that something that happens that far away is going to seriously impact someone here. They may have family here, but not likely.

But, someone who lives here is likely to have lots of family in the area and could be devastated if they knew people were spreading details at such an awful time. The original poster was not, would not, and didn't give any details. People hate that though, and they just have to start digging, and then start finding ways to justify it.

and then there's the obligtory post where someone let's everyone else know how much smarter, more compassionate, and socially acceptable there are than the rest of us idiots.

Oh wow, you do get it! Now go apply it.

  7. …how someone on this board can ask for prayers for a neighbor family who has suffered a horribly tragedy, and after telling them that she isn’t at liberty to give details, many keep asking anyway.

Then, after getting the details, they get upset about who told who what and what gives “them” the right to talk, and even more so they get off on why it is ok to talk about something that happened 500 miles away but not something that happened in our own neighborhood.

What the hell is wrong with people? Nothing ever satisfies them no matter how it is presented or who presents it, or what it is about. I have no problem understanding it all. How about you?

  8. There is a lot about supporting Paulding business, but the problem is there are just too many. They have built so much in Hiram that I still don't even know what all is down there and don't bother looking. If I haven't missed it yet I probably don't need it.

Someone one here one day was wishing we had a Cold Stone Creamry in Hiram. I pointed out that there has been one down there for about 4 or 5 years (maybe more). They had no idea. Everything is so crammed together down there you will go blind and crash looking for stuff.

  9. Snip

I didn't say I am a believer, just that I find it interesting and am fascinated by it. And, it is easy to interpret his writings in the past. It would be nice to "see" what he is projecting for the FUTURE.

(OR, maybe I don't want to know)

I do find stuff like that interesting myself, but I don't put much faith in it. The whole Knights Templar/Freemason thing is very interesting too, but I don't much buy into it all. Makes for thought provoking TV though.

yes you are... I wanna go back to work *sniffle*

We are extremely slow, and we have laid off some people and cut down on hours for the plant, but I am salary so it hasn't affected me....yet....

  11. If I sat down and wrote tons of gobbley goop, I am sure 500 years from now someone could back it into past world events and proclaim me a prophet. I am still waiting for someone to use his writings to actually tell us what will happen. Doesn't do any good after it is over.

  12. Been pretty laid back today myself. Not really bored, just tired and not wanting to start the grind over again tomorrow, but thanking God I still have a job.

  13. You could change your name to something that no one could pronounce?? Or maybe something that couldn't be paged overhead???

I'm so SICK of hearing my name paged over the intercom at work today, I could just scream!!!!!!! I feel like I'm the only one that knows what is going on around this place sometimes... <_<

Yes I do, and so did my father. He said every time he turned around it was Jim this, Jim that, Jim, Jim, Jim.
