I wish we'd known this before we tried to go have breakfast there last weekend. We ended up at some plain old Waffle House. I thought they were back in business. All we saw were a couple of employees out back shooting the breeze and whatever. Big disappointment. We're in the New Hope area so we drove a bit to get there. I'll hesitate to do it again.

What "Industrial" ?
What tiny amount we have is pitiful, pitiful, pitiful. And the commercial is now in trouble as well. The retail establishments seem to be dropping like flies, and we have plenty of empty retail space available.
But virtually none for a decent sized warehousing or light manufacturing business. What little we have is overpriced and small, and or in really tacky industrial parks with dance schools, churches and martial arts studios.
I thought the airport was going to save us all. Wasn't that what people were saying? It was going to bring all kinds of business to the county.

If I truly felt like an already added on tip was not deserved, I'd ask to speak to the manager.
Secondly, tipping was never meant to become a waiter's main source of income, and I think that is part of the problem. Not sure how to fix it either!
Everyone just needs to stop tipping, no one will want to be a server because they aren't making any money, managers will not be able to get workers, then they will have to start paying higher wages instead of expecting their customers to do it. This, of course, will make the price of food skyrocket, but at least it would end the whole stupid tipping thing.

Since 2005 I have made $10,000.00 less per year every year. All you that think the economy slowed down last year and blame the former President, you are nuts. It has been slowing for 3 years and CONGRESS is to blame.
Where is my bailout check to cover my losses for the last 3 years.
PS. I am at an income level now that I havn't seen since 1999.
Don't worry. Obama gonna bail you out. Gonna give to the poor and strenghten the labor unions (you know, the very thing that contributed to the colapse of the US auto industry and other major companies). No....wait....nah....he gonna make it worse for you.

I finally got the last W2 out of the mail box today, I have been trying the last 2 hours to log on to TurboTax to finish my return so I wll know my fate with the IRS
The site is so busy it wont let me log on, ahhhhhhhh, the not knowing is killing me.Which is why you just go to Sam's and buy the program. If you do more than one return it is cheaper anyway and you have no speed issues.

I'm not very tax savvy so to speak. My question is will I be able to take the child tax credit on my baby that was born in Oct of 2008?TIA
If the child is born at 11:59pm on December 31, 2008, you can claim it. However, if your child turned 17 on January 1st 2008, you lose the entire credit for the entire year. Go figure out that stupid arse tax rule.

If by brown noser you mean a person, organization, or party that kisses people's rear to get where they want to be, or in order to get an in-road into eventually manipulating others into blindly following them, then no. I leave that to the democrats and liberals. I prefer to stand on my own merits, like most conservative Republicans.

OK what if they kept the check and credited the amount to the taxes that you owed? Just how does that work?
If that happened then you should be paying $600/$1200 (depending on what you should have got) less in taxes for 2007. If you don't owe taxes then they still owe you the money.

Wake up people. The government is broke and endlessly in debt. Where did you think that advance tax rebate was coming from? Cut taxes in one place and triple them in another. It is a shell game. In spite of that "stimulus" check, I bet you ended up paying twice the taxes last year than you would have under "normal" conditions.
They are like used car dealers. If they lower the price then they screw with the financing, the trade in, or the dealer "processing fees". You will pay one way or the other.

The check we received from our neighborly government to stimulate the economy is considered income on your 2008 taxes. But will it be deducted 100% from your refund or added to what you owe 100%? 'Savingrace' put on a previous post that when the question came up at the end of the form on how much you received from the stimulus it deducted all of it. The question on the blog was did the neighborly government just LOAN us the money? It should be added to income total and taxed accordingly and not deducted 100% unless it was another government scam. If this is true then there will be a lot of voters really pissed including me. Also, if it's true a lot of our friends, the liberals, will be crying in their
beertea.Does anyone know the truth on this?
And what about the current stimulus coming as tax credits for none tax payers who will end up getting a check? Will they have to start paying taxes on their check for 2009 taxes?

Give us a check, then raise the price of gas to $4.50 a gallon so they can get it all back, then lower the price to $1.40 so we will start buying more gas. If we get another "stimulus" check I bet gas will mysteriously skyrocket for no apparent reason again.

I don't know what their reasoning is, because there is probably a total lack of it anyway, but I cannot not think of one reason why those tables shouldn't be there. Sounds like someone in certain places just had it in for that place.

I once called the cops on my neighbor because I thought he was cutting his grass too short. They agreed and arrested him for abuse of a green leafy substance.

I do a spicy twist on beenie weenie. Melt some real butter and saute some onions in it for a bit, then add a bunch of sliced beef hot dogs and dump in a ton of Texas Pete and cook until all of the water is steamed out. Add to a couple of cans of Bush's Beans and mix. Have it with saltines. It is still just beenie weenie but with an attitude. Much better than Van Camps.
