It depends where you are. Post office is delivering to all they can get to safely

We only use recycled bags at the store. We are green! We sell used books so why not put them in a used paper or plastic bags. We have a lot of customers bring them in to us to do their part to keep us green. I know we could use "branded" bags but it seems like a waste of money to spend more on a new bag that will end up in the landfill. We may go to cloth bags to remind people to fill it up with books to bring back in for trade ins the next time they shop, but haven't gotten that money in the budget yet.

if you are by the store and need to warm up. We will be open Thursday and Friday 12pm to 5pm if you are suffering from cabin fever. Please use front entrance only as our deck is still a skating rink. I can't make this clear enough. I am not encouraging anyone to come shop today UNLESS you can safely leave your neighborhood and have a clear path to our door. Roads are not bad by our store and our parking lot is dry and not icy until you get to the sidewalk. I have put down a "magic carpet" of padded tiles to our door to get into the front of the building to keep you from slipping.

Yes, with no business I can't afford to turn on the extra space heater....... Bldg seems warm enough though except where I sit working next to the window. No business yet, but always plenty to do in here. Still prefer not to have anyone wander out and risk their tailbones on the ice or an accident.

They told carriers yesterday so they must have gotten it approved. We had to cancel our vacation AGAIN

Great idea for people that can but if you are retail, we are just out of luck;o( I am on the way to the store just to hope someone is out and about on the way to somewhere they "need" to be. Retail is so up and down on a normal day so the weather is now just toying with us like a cat with a mouse.

Mailman hubby went to work today and was told they will deliver where they can but will not attempt to risk their safety. He is in Marietta though. I believe it will be the rule of thumb. Marietta carriers are all being told they have to work Sunday and Monday(a holiday) to make up for being closed. Not sure about other offices.

Right now, we are going to be open 12 to 5pm if you are already out and about and we are on the way. We are not encouraging anyone to come in, but the doors will be open if you have a need for a reading assignment or are out of your snow day reads but drive slow and don't crash through my front window..

DH just got a call that all carriers in Marietta are being "mandatoried" to work Sunday and Monday (a federal holiday) to make up for being closed most likely through tomorrow! We were supposed to be out of town for our rescheduled Disney trip and now I am ready to pull my hair out! Oh vacation, why do you not want me to have you

I know all city services are cancelled in Powder Springs but if you use a private service, you would have to call that company. Seems like a bad idea with the snow to be out to pick up trash. If they have an accident they may give all your trash to someone else in their yard!

Just a reminder, not that we don't want your business, we want you to be safe at home not out on the icy roads.

DH says there has only been 1 day in 16 years that he has not delivered. This is the first time it has been more than 1 day though but then we only have lived here for that long.

Dern it all! Guess tomorrow is another day we will have to sentence you to NOT buy books at The Book Worm I am going to head over to our warehouse to pack online orders so if you want to go to the website and order, I can ship them tomorrow and then your letter carrier will NOT deliver them tomorrow but you would get them as soon as they can shovel a path to your door. Happy snow day to those that will enjoy another day off

Marietta,Powder Springs and Lithia Springs did not deliver, I would be surprised if anyone else in the area did get mail.

My mailman got home around 11am. No mail today and he works in Marietta. They got less snow, I think. Your mail is not as important as all the letter carrier's saftey, sorry about that! We need to get our mail out to all our online customers too but that is not happening either.
