Thanks Rhonda! If it is not safe she will probably get a Cobb County Popo to drive her. The least they can do for her keeping our city safe! Sorry, but I was wrong. While he did get home safely, he said they did NOT decide to close down yet. Trucks arrived as he was leaving with the mail. All the carriers did go home from his office though because it is just too unsafe out there with all the ice.

As much as I hate to not get my mail and not be able to mail out all our packages from the store, I am grateful someone had the sense to let all the letter carriers in Marietta go home. Hopefully his journey home will be safe and I won't worry that his mail truck will be slammed into by another driver who shouldn't be on the road

I have two of those that need some prayer today. 911 and postal employee. Both are at work. Not worried while they are at work, just the getting home part.

But then there are those that can't stay home. My daughter is s a 911 supervisor. We do have emergency services people that can't stay home. Also, Hubby is a letter carrier and he is at work but they are waiting for the word to be able to leave still. He just called and said they the mail trucks can't get to them and it is not safe to drive but they have not been told yet they can leave.

It is a good day for that! We encourage it!

Ok, at least not today. With the roads the way they are, I wouldn't want to see anyone even attempt to get to the store so The Book Worm, very sadly, is closed today for the first time due to weather. So happy snow days for you that can go out and play and afford not to work and we will hope to be open tomorrow but will play it buy ear (and what does that really mean? Shouldn't it be play it by eye?) to see if we can open tomorrow to help all the needy bibliophiles;o)

For our business it has been great! 80% of the people that are buying our "deal" do not live in our zip code, so basically we just bought us 150 new customers so far. Hopefully, this will be a great way to build our customer base with real customers, not just fans that may stop in some day. We have a good business plan in knowing that 99.9% of the people that walk in to shop will leave as a new customer that will be back. We are just that good and we are just that modest!

We hope so too! Not that we don't have great prices every day and another deal of the day to add to it but we still are so unknown in the "big picture" of Atlanta. Yes, Groupon does need to make a profit, though it seems high, we hope like all good deals that seem good that if it doesn't kill us, it will cure us

It may be a cost thing for them. We are taking a beating on this in hopes of winning new customers to the store. It is not just the certificate but then Groupon gets just over half of the revenue. Basically, we are buying customers via groupon but we know once you come in your are ours forever!
