Wow. What did she do, FBBC? I just met my sister about 4 years ago. She is in and out of my life, in right now. She may have inherited some of our mother's mental issues, I'm afraid. She's 21. Also have 2 older (also half) brothers. We have the same dad. One is here in Kennesaw. We aren't as close after a falling out where I was sort of in the middle, he and my husband, and money were involved. My other brother, who I am much closer to, is in B'ham. We go to a lot of concerts together. And share our beer snobbery.

That's why my mother and I were estranged up until right before her death. She was bipolar, and I had been taken away from her as a child. I'd tried to keep in contact with her toward the end, but it was hard to deal with.

I hate driving to Gwinnett, too! My SIL lives there, and it's better than driving to SC, where my MIL lives. Luckily she usually stays there, so we have an hour drive instead of 3. My Dad lives in AL. I'm over there 2-3 times a year, and talk to him maybe once a month. I used to go stay a weekend or a night out there, but now I'd have to board my elderly cats who need medication. Can't afford that right now. (My mother passed away in 97, but we were somewhat estranged.)
  4. Maybe they just needed some gum. For the record, I cuss like a sailor. I try to watch my audience, so to speak. And I'm pretty good at censoring myself. And I seriously doubt all who claim to love God speak no profanity. And there's nothing lacking in my vocabulary. My temper...
  5. I agree with Romania, especially the horrible Ceausescu era.
  6. I usually turn away from businesses with that symbol. It is a personal matter, I need not know. And it makes me leery that I'll get a sermon.
  7. A friend of mine stole a pregnancy test when we went to a drug store together years ago. She didn't tell me until we left. I wanted to kill her!
  8. My impression is not good if they misspell words, intentionally or not. And also, bad grammar leaves a negative impression.
  9. It's been about a year, but these are great.
  10. Croatia, Moldova, Belarus, Ukraine...
  11. I am a girl. But it was years ago. I don't really wear skirts any more.
  12. I was worried they'd think it was me! So I showed it to them.
  13. Srsly. I once tried on a skirt at Kohl's, I think, and found a stack of tags in the pocket! I showed them to the attendant when I was finished. Crazy.
  14. That could change. When I first got it, you could only add or delete shows from the main box, but now you can do that with any box. I'm still not sure how much memory I use. There's memory load and disk space remaining (or something like that). Mine's always 80-90%, so I guess I'm good.
  15. I dumped Comsuck a year ago for Uverse and have never regretted it.
  16. I thought the same thing. But I hear that this is very painful.
  17. The gingerbread were ok, but the sprinkles are a bit much. I push the whipped cream to the side anyway and use syrup (and butter). But the pumpkin ones...omg.
  18. We had IHOP for dinner last night. Pumpkin pancakes > gingerbread pancakes.
  19. Thanks. I'm actually having surgery tomorrow. No solid food after lunch, no food (or even water) after midnight! Ugh.
  20. Here you go. (Use the media tag.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLcDQTYY61A One of my favorites: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cubgWvBfs24
  21. Kroger, sometimes Publix. Publix carries some of the vegetarian things I eat that Kroger does not. I HATE going over to that side of Walmart. I could not even find juice, and wanted to punch someone. HATE.
