  1. Females have the ability to shut anything out they don't want to hear........men have to use the TV to make that work.
  2. I really don't think enough people have been out to assess the road conditions. We need an update from Paulding DOT or the Sheriff's department.
  3. Beautiful Blondie!!! I'd stay home, too.
  4. Only found one report of bad roads in Paulding...........of course it's out my way. I'm sure if Hwy 101 is bad, Goldmine is treacherous. Georgia Navigator From their website.....they only post state roads and interstates, no local road closures or conditions.
  5. I'm with you. Wondering about the conditions on Goldmine Road. Still spitting snow on and off here. The concrete driveway and deck are covered in snow.
  6. It's these little back roads I have to drive that scare me........Holly Springs road is treacherous in the rain let alone with a little ice on it. Goldmine Road gets pretty scary, too.
  7. Map quest says it's 82 miles from Dallas to Ft. Payne, AL. I've never been so I can't help. I just remember his sisters talking about buying their furniture in Dogtown. Guess it's the High Point, NC of Alabama. LOL
  8. Waiting for daylight. I have some baby snowmen I want to share. Tried to get a pic last night but they are too far away from the back door. LOL
  9. Animal, I don't think that's the only furniture store in Dogtown. My husband grew up in Alabama and everyone goes to Dogtown to buy furniture. See if you can search the Ft. Payne area, it may be worth the drive to save $. I doubt they would deliver to Paulding County, GA.
  10. Thanks for the update. Fa ra, ra, ra, ra........ ra, ra, ra, ra.
  11. You don't have to be "rich" to share at Christmas time, or any other time for that matter. The church, any church, should encourage their members to help their fellow man, it's the way it should be.
  12. Only if I can get a team of horses together to pull the sleigh. Wait..........maybe the dogs will work, but I only have one.
  13. Whew, thanks for the confirmation. I thought I was going crazy!! Tell him to I need bread if he's boarding to Scott's in the morning.
  14. Ahhh, a Christmas Story, Chinese Food..........did they sing to you??? LOL
  15. Very small fine flakes, and it's down to 31 degrees.
  16. Your pics are beautiful.......definitely worthy of a Christmas Card!! I hope it doesn't get windy and knock all this out of the trees.
  17. If you're talking to me, it is very pretty. It's just out my front door. I took the pic from my front porch.
  18. Cool footprints!!! In Yorkville, out in my front and back yard. Just measured the snow on the table on the deck, we have 3 1/2 inches and it's still snowing. Looks like it's slowing down though.
  19. Here are some of mine. There is at least 4 inches on that table now, maybe more.
  20. Praying everyone gets home safe. If you can stay where you are, just stay. Be safe everyone.
  21. Mom and Dad just got home, two cars in the ditch already on Holly Springs Road. Please be careful and slow down!!
  22. Our digital thermometer in Yorkville is holding at 35. Hope it stays.
