Wooooo Hoooooo!!! I guessed right. Doing the happy dance. :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

I understand. This is what your statement says to me. - Ignore it, it will go away. Just like we did the the Fannie and Freddie fiasco, just like we did with the accountability of TARP and the stimulus. If we don't talk about it, it really doesn't exist. -

In Chicago in 1967 we received over 30 inches of snow in a 24 hour period. Everything was gridlocked. The plows couldn't keep up. When neighborhoods got fed up because they couldn't get out of their driveways, the whole neighborhood got together and hand shoveled the street. Now I realize that's not possible in some locations, but it's a great way to meet your neighbors and offer coffee and hot chocolate to the "workers". Seriously we had a block party with snow shovels, it was so much fun. People that live in subdivisions could have a blast with this.

That's not from the article I linked..........this is from today January 13, 2011. Did you read it???

Not sure things are as the Main Stream Media wants us to believe. I know things have definitely not gotten better for me over the last two years. Oh and BTW, oil is very close to $100 a barrel. Reuters

Carbs keep you warm. BTW, here's the proof!! Weather Channel

Well, not my preference of "normal". I just want to be able to drive and go to the store without having to worry about ice!!
-

Wow, many "snow lovers" are turning into snow haters

I had my fill of snow living in Chicago for 18 years. I'm with Sound Guy, snow on Friday night, play Saturday, go away Sunday. That is a perfect snow. I don't like snow, I don't even like playing in it anymore. I can't stand being trapped in the house for days, but thank you Lord for letting us keep power this time. -
It means he's a he. Her brother is him. She doesn't have any sisters either, but he does.

My prediction for in the am...........everything will be frozen.

Bless your heart Animal!! Would you like some sweet tea???

Or you could clean out the garage and keep it in there.

Definitely South of Atlanta. Perhaps you can check the road conditions in Carrollton and Newnan.

Seriously, I could not believe the condition of our main thoroughfare!! 278 is not good at all, not in Dallas or Hiram. There are areas that are fine but every bridge still has ice and most of it is only one lane on each side. Just be careful if you must go out.

I just posted a thread about my trip from Holly Springs Road and Garner Road to Hiram. It's not great but if you have an emergency, it's passable. http://paulding.com/forum/index.php?/topic/262198-my-road-report/page__pid__3362165#entry3362165

So I had to go get DH's medication. I told him Friday to be sure he had enough to last til Wednesday, he had only enough to last til Wednesday. LOL So at 11:00 it was 33.2 degrees, Holly Springs Road has been graded, it looks great, wet but clear. They graded it yesterday. Goldmine has been graded but it's not as good as Holly Springs. Lots of thick icy patches and water on the road on Goldmine. Since the temp was above freezing, it wasn't too bad. I was shocked at the condition of 278. Lots of thick icy patches and very little salt/gravel anywhere. Usually there is only one lane

I think I would have taken the pillow and blankets and slept in my car LOL

It may not be the equipment that is the problem, they can always borrow from other locations. I don't think they have the stuff they need to spread and there is no where to get it.
