I don't know what those on unemployment are supposed to do, there are very few jobs!! I am not a fan of government spending but if 0bama cancelled one party that would be enough to pay hundreds, heck maybe even thousands of people for one week. If Pelosi didn't spend thousands on food and booze during her cross country military plane excursions there would be more funds available for those needing it.

Snowing again in Yorkville. Stopped for about an hour, started up again a few minutes ago. 3 inches and counting.

That would be our neck of the woods. Snow has just about stopped, measured 2 inches on the table on the deck. Usually pretty accurate. It's a heavy wet snow, the tree limbs are drooping bad. Praying we don't lose power.

I know who but I'm not sure what.............I was told but don't remember. I think it's a secret.

I don't think things are going to improve until tomorrow when it gets above freezing. If you have to go out, please be very careful.

It's been hovering at 33 here (Yorkville) for a couple of hours. The pool deck, driveway and walkways are now snow covered. If you can I'd leave now. It looks like it's going to stop snowing soon but the slush is going to turn to ice when the temps drop below freezing.

Hubby had to do the same thing with the hose today. We learned that trick a while ago, but if it freezes there's nothing you can do.

Praying for them ME, so very sad. Hope the mom makes it.

This has been the craziest weather we've had in a long time. If I look at the radar from Rome, it shows rain all over us but when I look at the radar for Rockmart, it shows it just getting here.

Did anyone else hear it?? I hope it doesn't storm.

We got nine inches of snow in Dallas, right off Macland and Bobo in 1993. It may have felt like two feet and it stayed around for several days. We couldn't get out of the subdivision because the road went uphill and it was a solid sheet of ice. I guess it was about 3 or 4 days before it got warm enough to melt the ice on the road. It was March 13, fortunately the original Paulding WalMart was about 1/2 mile from us and we were on the same power grid as they were. We only lost power for about 4 hours.
