  1. I know what you mean, wfal! Actually I had parents like that. After I was away from them I got an education of my own. "Every man stamps his value on himself ... man is made great or small by his own will." ~ J. C. F. von Schiller I could no longer justify, to myself, ignoring what I truly wanted out of life. And, it certainly was not to be like my parents. They were State of Georgia IQer's.
  2. The interfering nature of having to handle criticism is always going to be there. And, it gets better, or worse, depending on the IQ's behind the criticizing remarks. The mechanics of human behavior consists of physiological events like sweating, trembling, and so on, which is also accompanied by negative thought that develop while communicating with people. Your internal dialogue may start agreeing with the critics, instead of helping you relay your own message within the communication process. One can start out with 100 unites of intellect and focus to deal with the message they want to
  3. A sling blade was used to cut tall grass and weeds before the modern machinery was invented.
  4. I don't know where you come from, nor how often you come by, fntc, but I'm here all the time!
  5. Part of my actual low IQ, fitc, is my old timers disease. I have grandchildren to help me with things I don't know, or that I have forgotten, however! Thank you for your reply, I get some high IQ replies, which I appreciate, but I also appreciate your common sense.
  6. Yes, you are right, Tt! "If you can't be the pine at the top of the hill, Be a shrub in the valley below. The best little scrub in the valley below, Be a bush if you can't be a tree. If you can't be a bush be a bit of the grass, And some highway happier make If you can't be a muskie, then just be a bass, But be the liveiest bass in the Lake! We can't all be captains, we've got to be crew, There's something for all of us here. There's big work to do and lesser to do, And the task we must do is the near. If you can't be a highway then just be a trail, If you can't be the sun, b
  7. I haven't been out of the state of Georgia much, GD! That is an interesting point. I'll bet that the Wal-Marts in Hong Kong ranks higher than the Wal-Marts in Georgia; I just don't have the details to back it up. The people who have been saying some people shouldn't have the right to vote, may know what they are talking about.
  8. Forgive me, Tt! I know it appears that I am following you around, this morning, but I like to learn what you post. I already know some of it, but your home schooling is outstanding. I just appreciate it, so much!
  9. There you go again, Tt! Talk about children having a good parent, you are great. Did you notice that another good parent wanted to get your kind of help with her own children, and the naysayers were jumping into the discussion?
  10. I just hope it's not people from other States, or from other countries. We don't need no more low IQ people in Georgia.
  11. I don't know Tt, but things may be transpiring right now, if the nay-sayers don't stop people from communicating in this very topic!
  12. Thank you so much, gbicon! We have people, in Georgia, who are changing the demographics around here. I want to be the one who tells you that I appreciate you. YES, thank you, so much! Tt, is a very good friend. I just added a thing that she omitted from her reply. She knows what I am talking about, however!
  13. Community is a great thing, when there is places for children to play and make good friends. So many situations require that we help our children accompany good friends. They will become known by the company they keep. Helping them find good friends is the most important thing in the World people can do for their children. Bullying, in the early years of life, is an especially bad thing to have happen to our children. And, bullying is a problem that we, AS PARENTS, can do something about. Taking actions like the wonderful OP parent had done, here, is a GOD send for all children.
  14. I saw it with my own eyes, and read it in actual statistics, O N Its M!
  15. Thank you, cherokeewoman, and thank you former member! I agree with cw about doctors wanting another copay, but that's not all they get. What about the rest of the money? If they have patients coming back, that is easier money that attracting some other doctor's patients.
  16. I just posted in another thread that Georgia people are in the bottom 10 position in IQ scores in the United States. And, the United States is way down the scalel on average IQ test scores. We are just lucky to be members of P.com, that's all I can say. Because the ones who posted their IQ scores are way above World wide average.
  17. I just feel so lucky to be right here in this group, dap. Living in a state that is in the bottom 10 of the IQ averages for people in this country, and in a country that is below average on the world wide average for countries. I am lucky to be a member of P.com, where people have posted their IQ's to be very high. Mine is about average for the state of GA. But, the ones who have posted their IQ scores, here, are world wide scholar's; way above 100 on the average. Here I am, about average, and I'm lucky enough to be amidst some way above 100 IQ people. The World average is far belo

  19. The people who owns these type rigs want suffer a bit. But, people who own these type rigs will.
  20. All I can say is that these kids didn't do as their parents said do, but rather they do as their parents do. I worked, and my father helped me make play out of it. I had a rabbit business when I was 5, 6, 7, and 8. The rabbits were wild rabbits. I caught them in rabbit boxes, and sold them in the neighborhood, in which the houses were miles apart. We moved to town when I turned 9, and my wild rabbit days were over. I was good with a sling blade, and a lief rake, but I had no lawn more or weed eater. My father was a fur trapper in the winter months, and a plasterer in the summer months.
  21. I agree with that, Subby, and loved the story about your dad! Thanks for that!
  22. Walking with his chin up, shoulders back, and thinking that he was a soldier when he is a child molester. He had better know how to defend himself in prison, because he may get killed. They hate child molesters in the joint! I hope his daughter can ge over this horrible crime against her person.

  24. Labeling, no matter what the reason, is part of a problem rather than part of a solution. Although good intentions was the reason for the label it is "iatrogenic," which describes harm induced by a healer. -------------------------------- What if a child is so much more than such a label allows. If he/she is conforming to what the doctor labeled them as, it could be a form of control they have a tendency to bend to. If they are instead rebelling against such a label, it might have an adverse affect in reverse of conforming to the label.
