25 Year Veteran Of Hall County Sheriff Department
Eddie Bennett replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Those who don't know what a good ol' boy situation is should know that it's a network. The good ol' boy network excludes the rest of the community, which is to say that the leaders of a community may limit business transactions to other elites, or to friends and acquaintances from within the network, to give friends better deals, and generally to reinforce traditional power structures over any other elements in the local society. It's difficult for one man to stand up against such a network, but I hope Dale Long is just such a man. At least he says he is going to stand up, speak out, and t -
I'm not going to comment on that, LPPT!

I agree, MrsB! Taking care of your feet is as important as any other part of your body. I do extra research when I buy my shoes. New Balance is not the only manufacturer who has good shoes. A person must study for him/her self so they will know what to look for. After feeling the comfort of by boot. I now know more about what to look for in my shoes. When I get out of this boot, I am going shopping, myself.

This is nor very athletic, LPPT, but it's the best I can do for ya!

Good Sunday Morning-Can't go back to sleep!
Eddie Bennett replied to luvtennis5's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I was awake. but I didn't get up until 10:30. I was thinking about what I am going to say, on P.com, that is Positive. I have two channels I tune to; channel P, and channel N. Channel N is negative. I don't want to tune to channel N today. When I switch channels from channel N, I have to say things like, "Pardon me, John, but I've been meaning to ask you, something" which is better than, "I've been meaning to tell you something." Sometimes you can switch from channel P to channel N just by asking questions, instead of telling John something. Can you help me star tuned to channe -
I don't care if it is Sunday. There is no point in sleeping your life away. Get going! Potential energy is wasted if you don't make it kinetic.

Yeah, I like it! I like all little dogs. The big ones just have too much tongue, and their nose gets you wet. That one is so cute, SS!

Thank you, MC! That consists of fine imagination, correct morality, and is of the most lovely benevolence. Faith is trust, hope and belief in the goodness, trustworthiness or reliability of a person, concept or entity. It can also refer to beliefs that are not based on proof. Faith in transcendence is a trance-like condition or state of being that surpasses physical existence and in one form is also independent of it. So believing is good, but one has to understand the whole scheme of things.

attorneys with too much time on their hands

Lets look at that from a different prospective, NE! There is always two parties in a law suit. Is the party suing you going to see the situation exactly like you see it? NO. That is the reason the law has to get involved. Yes, the people rolled the dice, and may have to pay the price. Again, the guy was jumping the fence, and not threatening anyone else. He was trying to get away. You can't shoot a man in the back, and you can't cause a death due to your negligence of the law. When it comes down to it, ignorance of the law is no excuse. If you tell the judge you didn't know that -

The word defend in O.C.G.A. 16-3-23 would not be a good situation, in this case, because the man was trying to jump the fence (so to speak); nobody was in danger, and there was no need to defend anyone from harm. I know what you mean, of course, but the law may not be what you, nor I thinks it is! You are right, but who determines what frivolous IS? You? -
I certainly understand, LPPT! I am with you 100%. I am just glad I don't have to make decisions in such awkward situations. Believe me I would have a hard time with it. With that said, I even had a hard time realizing there were so many gay people in this country.

Georgia Code - Torts - Title 51, Section 51-1-13 A physical injury done to another shall give a right of action to the injured party, whatever may be the intention of the person causing the injury, unless he is justified under some rule of law. However, intention shall be considered in the assessment of damages. There is NO rule of law that will justify causing this man's death. It's like shooting a man jumping the fence and calling it self-defense. -
I realize how controversial this situation is. But, People who used to live in the closet, because their preferences were not culturally understood, have successfully overcome their fears, and have almost stopped being victims of hate crimes. I live in this society, the way it is. People started somewhere against what other people had been oppressing their belief's add behaviors. If you don't believe oppression is hard to overcome just ask a Jewish person, who's parents or grandparents survived the holocaust. As far as my emotions, I used to be a bigoted person against homosexuality,

PAT ROBERTSON HAS LOST HIS MIND..........

Orientation toward any characteristic of human behavior is an individuals business, alone, unless harm is done to another individual. People raise their children much like they want to raise them, unless the laws of ethics are involved. The new laws about gays being able to come more and more out of the closet identifies what is supposed to be more acceptable among the American people. I think public, and school, bathrooms are provided for people to use as their requirements necessitate. If this child wants to use the boys bathroom he/she should be able to decide for him/her self, bas

I don't want my post to be sent to the political forum, please, gfh! -
"You scratch my back, and I'll scratch yours", is a good thing, but only if the conversation is private. That is more of a guild per quo situation, and the hullabaloo is being bargained for privately. In legal usage, quid pro quo indicates that an item or a service has been traded in return for something of value, usually when the propriety or equity of the transaction is in question. For example, under the common law, a binding contract must involve consideration: that is, the exchange of something of value for something else of economic value. If the exchange appears excessively one sid

Exactly, HWAM! I didn't know that was available. My understanding came from word of mouth, and I didn't want to be slanderous, unnecessarily. It's a shame that families, in a time of need and despair, should suffer from the corrupt behavior of money hungry FOOLS! -

It's the Douglas County Sheriff's Department, H W A M! I don't want to say to mush, and the Sheriff's department would be better contacted directly, by anyone interested. -
Stand Up, Speak Out, And Talk Back, but use honesty, and assertiveness, as your style of expression. If you make other people angry, they may use aggressive behavior to express themselves, but you need to maintain self-confident. Don't allow someone who rules by fear, and intimidation, to control your behavior. Someone, who has an "I win - you lose" attitude, knows that over powering their opponent is how to win. But, you should know that helping other people win means that there is no need for the other person, you are talking to, to lose. It's the controversy that has been establis

I haven't had time to check out the details, but during a family's time of need these people may not be on the up and up when needed trust is the issue. My advise is for families to, indeed, check with the Douglas County Sheriff's Department before trusting Douglasville Monument Company.

I was bore in Bremen Georgia Hospital, way over 6 decades ago. I have not ventured far from that location. I grew up in Felton Georgia, I used the railroad track, along side Highway 27, to walk on. for many years. I learned how to step well enough to reach every third cross tie, on a regular basis. I would walk from Felton to Buchanan to visit my grandparents, and I would walk from Felton to Cedartown if I needed something from J. C. Penny. I have only been out of North West Georgia a few times, in my life. -------------------------------------------------------------------
