I sometimes lay it out to heavily, but being who I am I cannot see how telling someone the truth can hurt them, whether that truth makes them think one way or the other, good or bad thoughts. My wife scorned me for telling one of my grandchildren that I was proud of them. She said that I shouldn't do that without singling each one out and telling them the same thing. I told her that some of them had made me more ashamed than proud; why should I lie to them? What do you think? Should I tell them I am proud of them even though they don't deserve it? To me it would be like being pro

Thanks, I like even the ones who are not as good. The shows are also "GREAT." I don't care much for rides, and I get separated from my group, quiet often. We just make arrangements to meet back at the front gate at certain times.

Is the chain saw man there, this year? I like to watch him carve out logs to look like anything he wants them to.

Suffering burn out, momof 3, is something that happens if one does not see the meaning of what LPPT's pic represents. Going through life in a rat race is not really living. People who do this get burned out at a young age. Take a moment to listen to your children. To what your children are trying to say; Listen today, whatever you do Or they want' be there to listen to you Listen to their problems, Listen to their needs, Praise their smallest triumphs, praise their smallest deeds; Tolerate their chatter, amplify their laughter. Find out what's the matter; find out what they'r

The best we can do comes to life when we are able to keep good people, like GGR, coming back from wherever she ventures. This is p.com's goal! Unlike dreams, which tend to gloss over important details, or omit them altogether, goals leave no room for confusion about that which is desired. In the language of dreams, the desire to travel might be expressed simply as, "I want to see the world." This kind of thinking is to emotional, in my book. It is the language of goals and realities that I like to hear spoken. My friends know who I appreciate most, and they know that goal orienta

GGR, I have missed you, girl. I hope your time away has been well worth the harsh loneliness I suffered as a result of that time. Aren't you ashamed of yourself? Just kidding, GG! I am happy for you, and your new family affair. I trust that you have done well, and will continue to do it. Remember, "The Best Parachute Folders Are Those Who Jump Themselves."

How Dare You Come Back At Me With BS

You knocked me down with that one, TC! But. "It's not whether you get knocked down; It's whether you get up." ~ Vince Lombardi If you don't have a plan, you'll be a stepping stone for those who do. In contrast to the cruelty, however, that is so much a part of being used as a stepping stone, because you have a poorly managed or unmanaged life, having a clear cut strategy at a project status level is very rewarding. You flourish, and you'll overcome the tough stuff. My strategy is to show the www the bigoted replies I get from using honest talk. -

No argument gfh! I don't take tests that are just for me, unless I am the one who initiates the deal. I don't argue with fools , I let them have their way. I always tell them that I am not here to live up to their expectations, nor are they here to live up to mine. How can we argue with that as an understanding? -

Nevertheless, FITC, I am not satisfied with myself. I could be wrong, and some think iI am wrong. Mark Twain said it best: "If everybody was satisfied with himself, there would be no heroes." Also, "The sower may mistake and sow his peas crookedly; the peas make no mistake, but come up and show his line." ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson -

Thanks for your opinion, hh! I quote myself a lot, too! Everything I say I have said before. And, everything I have said before was said by someone else before. Even my signature is what the Chief Author of our Declaration of Independence said before. -

I had a neighbor like that once, and I started cleaning his yard for enough back to satisfy my idea of how my yard should look. He didn't mind, cletus! -

You keep saying that, markdavd, but I am still not here to live up to your sxpectations of what I need to do. SERIOUSLY! I wouldn't be able to get responses for people to read about, with as big of an audience. What makes you think I want to wast my time? I quit the Political Forum because it was more like a big blog, with no hits other than from posters who disagreed, while there were no audiences from the country side. -

Bigoted behavior is one thing that can be very habitual. It is no secret that the mind of a bigot is like the pupal of the eye; the more light you shine on it the more it contracts. Some people are proud to be bigots. Their lack of tolerance, in association with me, makes them proud to be in a group who think they know me well enough to tag me with a label that suits all the rest of them. Status-quo is better, they think, than actually being a person that stand up, speaks out, and talks back, against common BS. -
I want to direct this to everyone, and not just Subby! There are few of us who can relate to the kind of philosophy that requires long winded talks like Subby shares with us. Subby makes more sense to me than he probably does to much of the status-quo, around here. I can certainly understand every word he used, in his above post. He is a highly intelligent person, and should have a Ph.D., because he is more of a Doctor of Philosophy than anyone else who has ever came by to see me. I cannot differ with Subby, even though I do differ with many people. I care a lot for Subby, just l

Like I mentioned to markdavd, Gd, you are not in this world to see to it that I take my meds. And, I am not in this world to live up to your expectations. But, simple minded, and habitual behavior, cause some people to think that meds solves their problems; so they never get to the real source of it. They just think meds are the answers. -

I used the leaf idea as a figure of speech. And, it seems to me that you have been hanging on to many obsolete ways of thinking. Counterproductive thinking is not going to allow you to accept the changes that are taking place around you, in this world. Demographics are changing, for one thing, and those of who who do not accept this one think will walk a lonely way. -

In order for you to overcome the BS that clogs your thinking , you have to first know exactly where you are to start. Where you are now with your BS thinking, everything you are, everything you do, begins with and is based on what I call your personal truth. By personal truth, I mean whatever it is about your habitual behavior that you have come to accept as normal conduct. This personal truth as it relates to BS thinking, and indeed to many of the vitally important characteristics of your life. If you continue to believe obsolete BS, which may have once been useful, it becomes the real yo -

You are not in this world to live up to my expectations, markdavd! What I said was look at your own leaves, which have not been raked at all, before you get disgusted with the piles of leaves in your neighbor's yard. What part of that statement do you NOT U-N-D-E-R-S-T-A-N-D? -
It’s hard to stop the habitual behavior, and get real, but listening to constructive criticism will help kick the habit of going through the motions of your life, without actually looking in the mirror to see yourself. Stop being disgusted with the leaves pile up on your neighbors lawn when you have not even raked your own leaves. Who died and made you King or Queen of the sheeze hill, anyway? Why are you so against constructive criticism?

It was a beautiful day, at the Euharlee-creek Covered Bridge, in Cartersville, CE! I saw a lot of my friends and family, and we spent the whole day together. Here is my son-in-law:

Thank you, so much, NC! I loved it. My emotions were in severe shock, and the wake-up call was great. -

She is also an RN in he trauma center at Kennestone. I am proud of that too. Thanks for asking your question. --------------------------------------------------------------- I am hitting the hay.
