  1. Ok, let me re phrase. All the classrooms I have been in have had carpet but I allow for the fact that there could be 9 or more that don't. Better? You people zero in on the stupidest crap... Bigger picture folks, BIGGER picture.
  2. Yes, I have been in every single classroom in Paulding county and can confirm that... What a stupid question. The ones I have been in which I am sure is a low percentage has wall to wall carpet squares that they can pull up and replace a square at any given time. Why don't you go look in all of those classrooms for us?
  3. All classrooms have carpet. Those machines are expensive to buy and to maintain as well. I hope they tell these vendors where to stuff their proposals. I have dealt with many instances of outsourcing and while IN THE BEGINNING there is a low introductory offer that saves money it builds up rapidly over the years and the quality goes down. So, until proven otherwise I go on experience of it just not working. (I hope the board quashes this quickly).
  4. I am not a person who cares about the school sports, so you are asking the wrong person. My point is that the company has to provide the same people, pay the same taxes, purchase the same supplies, maintain the same equipment, provide the same benefits, the list goes on and on. PLUS they are going to make a profit and a fairly nice one I am guessing. The question is are we getting a superior service ABOVE and BEYOND what we currently get for less money. Somehow, given the reviews from other districts, I am guessing not.
  5. So how would this benefit us? They are still paying the same thing, buying the same supplies AND need to make a profit off this?
  6. Yeah he just made up those 4/1 renewal numbers for us... I think my real world facts will do just fine rather than clinging to a pie in the sky article. I don't like or dislike Obama and I for a fact this broker was a huge supporter of Mr. Obama, but, like others he is a bit disappointed he is looking bad to us with his last years claims of premium stabilization. So, enjoy that opinion.
  7. I get it... According to your article. But I live in the real life and I have met no one who agrees with you article including a very large broker of health insurance in Cobb. These increases are across the board on Obamacare as well, I haven't heard of one of them being close to a 3 percent increase. So I think I will have to stick with reality and realize your article is toilet time reading material.
  8. Oh wow you have an article! How dumb of us! Who do we get our credit from for the premium error!?!?
  9. I see your post in the other thread so thanks for addressing that but I believe these open forum discussions should be invaluable for information to board members as well as place to set the record straight. I thank you for being brave enough to come hear our concerns and address them, for that you get big points.
  10. That is bull. I know people being crippled by Obamacare increases this year. Our person I durance increased 40 percent for the same coverage. NEVER had an increase like this!
  11. If there is a proposal of bids then it is a serious consideration and public feedback in my opinion. You are pretty much the only person i know on the board and agree you watch out for people but its the other unknowns that scare me. Plus anything with PauldingCo in the front of it has an uphill battle reputation wise with serving its people. I hope in the end this is all over nothing but if proposals are being sought the process is rolling and that is concerning.....
  12. If there is some incorrect information wouldn't it be better to post within the threads rather than let it continue or address multitudes of emails?
  13. Again, if we are paying another entity to do the work plus make a profit then it is smoke and mirrors. If insurance is the primary issue cut it. Force everyone on Obamacare. Their solution will cost us more in the end, once the contractor is done with their "low introductory offer"
  14. Two words... Mass exodus....sure does contradict the theory in another thread of outsourcing to save insurance.
  15. Fiscally responsible is looking at the big picture. Costs, quality and overall best decision. Not just cost. Pretty much most all costs for an employee are within a small percentage fixed. So now we would have to pay those costs to a third party plus a nice size profit on not only the person but all materials as well. The only way to cut costs is by cutting pay but we will pay the same because the service is going to make a profit off that savings. While it may look good on paper I can assure you WE will pay more... Been there done that... So I have to ask how would that be physically r
  16. Probably some idiot consultant told them it would be a good idea. I read where the governor is trying to remove health benefits for bus drivers, cafeteria, and some custodial staff so they are probably preparing for the fallout.
  17. Oh no, she sold me my first two new houses! A super nice lady, prayers for the family.
  18. Waste Industries is just slightly cheaper but not enough to switch, I will try Clean Communities as well.
  19. Does anyone know of a good trash service in the E Paulding area? We currently have trash and recycling (2 large rolling containers) with Trash Taxi and have been pleased with the service but the bill continues to climb. I think we are now at around $23 a month. Any recommendations would be appreciated!
