When it comes to service Comcast really isn't any better, if not worse... I don't care about the phone line because I have a cell phone. It is true that the internet is faster with Comcast but coming from DSL I think they will be amazed with Uverse, there is no comparison. To me the internet speed isn't worth the crappy butt service from Comcast. I still shiver at the thought of ever having to call Comcast customer service...

You can get a package deal and the picture is great. I have had Comcast, Directv and Uverse. I prefer Uverse over them all. If you drop Comcast keep everything in writing, they tried to take me for $400 when I left Comcast saying I didn't return the equipment. I told them I had a signed receipt that it was picked up. They told me to send the original. I told them no, drive to my house and look at it. I told them to sue me if they needed but I was not letting go of that receipt. Never heard from them again.

Uverse is awesome, I have had it for several years. I did hear when I signed up that they would phase out DSL. I also was told once I switched to Uverse I couldn't go back to DSL. I have the TV and Internet package and every twelve months my rates go up, I call and threaten to leave and they put them back where they were... The internet is MUCH better than DSL, MUCH better.

And apparently a bad one...

I agree all have their issues but Comcrap is in a league of their own.

Unfortunately, with the way our local government has run over everyone in their way on a lot of things, everyone's reaction has become raise hell from the moment it is mentioned because if you don't it will just slip right on through (and sometimes it still does...). Very sad commentary on how Paulding Co citizens feel about elected officials... But their reputation for this behavior is well earned.

OK, so this insurance crap sucks! My 10 year old son has fine motor issues and needs help with handwriting. Well we have taken him to two occupational therapists and now have to pull him from them just after he was making progress. The freaking insurance (United Healthcare) hiked our rates by 50% (contrary to MRNM's articles) and sent the therapist notification that they are lowering what they will pay them per visit.
