I don't drink caffeine generally but had a cup of coffee this morning and am still spastic. I had to vacuum to burn up a little energy. So much for that nap I wanted to take this afternoon.

I think the stations are having a contest to see how many different words they can use to describe this weather event. I wish I had started a list after Catastropic and Biblical.
-
Glad you are ok. I hope it didn't causes too much damage.
-
Just wanted to make you grin.
-
That was cute.

Hurry ! Go wash your dirty butt.
-
Thanks. I'm tired of all the news stations and they keep changing colors on snow vs freezing rain & sleet, who's going to get how much etc. so since we haven't seen anything at all here for awhile I thought it may be about over.
-
It was worse here two weeks ago.

Took Harley out to potty and it's snowing. Tiny flakes but a lot of them. The icy slush seems to be getting more solid now. We had a couple pine limbs come down and have a few low hanging branches, hope they don't break. Off Hiram Sudie Rd.

There is ice covering the top of the power lines here off Hiram Sudie, it's been sleeting for about 1 1/2 hours. Maybe longer but that is when it woke me up hitting the windows.

I am exactly the same way. It's not the things other people can see but the "personal" things, the sweetness. I really can't stand roses, I don't like the smell and think they are too "everybody does that" boring. I love Astromelias. There are many beautiful colors. My favorite are the mauve or the antique white because they remind me of something Victorian, I love that period of time. They have a little bit of a tiger lilly look in their centers but are dainty not big flowers. He bought those for me many years ago when I told him I really hate roses because he thought I would like them

I think it will be a bad one but I also know it's all about who said what first when it's over to pat themselves on their ratings back.
-
Very true ! I love that show. Where do you live ? If you can come get it we will share what we have with you. (I'm night blind, can't see to drive at night) Does anyone know how to get in touch with this person ?

Glen Burns went from "catastrophic" to "biblical". They are flying recon planes into this storm in the Gulf like they do in hurricanes to check it out. The National Weather Service talked about structural damage, roofs collapsing under the weight of the snow/ice. I'm going to stop watching tv now...

We have a gas stove so my butt will be clean, I'll heat water.
-
I'm afraid this one will be worse, we are expecting some strong wind gusts that we didn't have in 73'.
-
I'm sorry you are hurting. Hope it feels better soon.
-
Do you have a grill ? If so pick up charcoal in the morning. You can sit a boiler of water on it to heat up if you get in a pinch, just don't let the bottle melt.
-
Glad to hear you will be ok. Spiders are the debil !

I went by Bojangles and bought biscuits to freeze so we would have them if we couldn't bake. I bought Chick-Fil-A's, took the bread off and am freezing the chicken also for our biscuits. I'm now making a big pot of hamburger soup for us and our next door neighbors.

Fox 5 is saying snow in the morning (Tuesday) then changing over to rain tomorrow afternoon. Temps at 39 degrees. The temps are showing above freezing even on Wed, the worst weather day. The truth is we really don't know until we are in the middle of it all.
-
Hopefully someone higher up in your office spent many hours on the road last time and has the good sense to let employees stay home. The smallest incline is a nightmare if we get ice like last time and so far this one looks to be much worse. Be safe, there's only one you.

Check maintenance meds and make sure you have enough for the week. Don't forget toilet paper. Maybe consider buying paper plates for the easy stuff like sandwiches. Even with a fenced in yard consider walking the doggies to potty so they don't hurt/cut their pads on snow covered things like pine cones, rocks, sticks etc. We have woods and there are too many things out there to trip over when snow, ice covered. Don't forget dog food and maybe a treat or new toy so when they get stir crazy in the house they have a distraction. If you are putting a cooler on the deck or in

Thank you. I will make a huge pot of soup for us and our neighbor Monday evening, hopefully we don't lose power that would really stink.

Really ? Enjoy that. I was asking a serious question so maybe we could all share ideas. Example: PB&J, Cheese sandwiches, cereal, grill ideas, canned meats, etc.
