  1. Don't know how true this is but a lady I worked with said the forms you have to fill out are crazy. You have to sign saying you are willing and available to go to protests, rallies etc. anytime you are notified and that you can only use their "authorized" service companies for any type home repairs. Both are for the life of the loan. She backed out of the original paperwork process, never signed, completed or submitted anything after reading through the contract but still receives emails to go to their meetings and "support their cause". (She doesn't go) The contract stated something to th
  2. We don't have kids but my husband and I play Yatzee, Backgammon, Phase 10 and Spades. We change things a little since it's just us two. Yatzee we play 3 games at once so it's easier and then total them to see who won. On Phase 10 we can get any run needed instead of going down the list in order. Things like this make them more fun for just two and keeps down me smacking him as often. I think we are going to buy Life since he liked that one when he was younger.
  3. 6. I love lentil soup, I make mine the same way and it is so good. (Minus the parsley)
  7. Thanks everyone. We used the one Johnboy posted and not only was he a very nice person but his price was very nice also. Definately keeping his number in my address book. Thanks Johnboy !!
  8. My husband's truck broke down on Whitlock last night on the way home from Marietta. His first concern was getting it into a parking lot and out of traffic and since it was dark he really couldn't tell what may be wrong yet. We are going back this morning to see if we can figure out more but may need to have it towed home. It's 12 miles from home. If you know of a good wrecker service in our area please let me know. I would rather use one someone knows than randomly call around. Thanks in advance.
  9. I like them all but the first one is my favorite because of the lighting and the stone on the right side. If you look at the piece of stone by the pumpkin, just the right way, it looks like a gargoyle perched looking at the pumpkin. (or the same thing as the pumpkin cut out) Yep, my imagination is why I hate to be in the house by myself at night. lol
  10. Boil chicken breasts (or you can use thighs if you like dark meat) Use 1-2 chicken bouillons 1 can chicken broth Seasoning - (we season the chicken with Nature's seasoning) When the chicken is done, take it out and rough chop into large cubes about (2" or 3" cubes)set it aside. Add 1 or 2 cans of cream of chicken soup to the broth and boil until it is dissolved to thicken the broth just a bit, (according to how much you are making) Dumplings- 1 pkg. of Cheese and Garlic Bisquick Use milk instead of water in the Bisquick Add 1 egg and enough plain (not self rising) flour to make
  11. My husband made chicken and dumplings last night and they, as usual, were delicious so we will eat the rest today. Those fried green tomatoes look wonderful !
  12. Thanks everyone, I have written down all the info. and will give it to her today. I'm sure it will make her feel better to have someone local that people know.
  13. I checked their website and they don't list bankruptcy. I'm pretty sure that is what the neighbors are asking for since they have had recent job losses. Thanks though.
  14. Thanks. That's what I wanted, it helps to know someone that has info. on them instead of giving her random names. My first thought was, what if I tell her about someone and she ends up with a bad experience, she is the kind that would remind me of it later and often.
  15. One of our neighbors asked if we knew any attorney's here in Paulding that handle bankruptcy. I do not know exactly their needs but she has shared that they may not be able to keep their home. (job loss) I thought I would ask here so she doesn't just pick one out of the phone book. I have seen some listed in posts but do not recall any at the moment. Thanks
  16. Hugs to you, It hurts our heart so much to lose one of our babies but you are right, the years we spend loving and receiving love from each one is worth doing it all over again, for them and for us.
  17. Yep. as I was typing from what they were saying I almost deleted the post because it was a no brainer. I was expecting something new.
  18. First, tithes and taxes. Then I would want to have land enough for family and a few friends. Build them (and us) a home laid out just like they always wanted. Pay off all their debt so they have the opportunity to start fresh. Build green with solar energy, wind energy or whichever is best to be as self sustained as possible. I would definately help as many people as I could but just not sure exactly who and how yet.
  19. Now - Air Conditioners - Kids toys - Wine - Plants / bulbs and Swimming pool toys November - Cars (2010 / 2011 models- but at the end of the month when they are trying to make their numbers) - Summer clothes and Furniture December - Wedding dresses - Tools - Calendars - Wrapping paper - Christmas cards and Big screen tv's January - Carpet - Fall suits - Winter clothes - Bedding & linens - Bicycles - Airline tickets for the spring.
  20. If you won big money in the lottery, say 50 million or more, where would you put your money ? What bank to choose, how much can you get in cash, just in case the whole banking industry goes down the tubes and everyone starts losing it all. Who would you hire to help with taxes, etc. I know what I would do first as far as spending but the thought of having that many (golden )eggs in one basket(bank)doesn't make sense to me. Would you wait awhile or go the next day to claim your prize ? What would you do with that much money ?
  21. I don't get it either, it's sad so many women have such low self esteem. I just hope he get's a house full of snarky when they are all having PMS.
  22. Thanks all. I'm good unless someone else wants more info. My husband just asked his boss this morning and that is what he was told also. Back to juggling, I must be in training to be a Circus juggler and by the time this economy get's better I will be a darned good one.
  23. husbands ? How many do you have in that shower ? Just teasing, I couldn't resist. Happy Friday !! Edited to add : Pre-apologies for being in a goofy mood this morning. (Yes, I see the apostrophe, just being goofy this morning)
  24. Thanks. It's been over 20 years since I was anything but salary so I guess I was way out of the loop on that one.
