Ours have been doing some serious nest building and stocking up for winter for a couple weeks already. Does this mean a cold winter or are they just getting ahead of the rush ? I made home made chicken & dumplings. It was delish !! Ok, the dumplings started with Bisquick then I added egg, flour, fresh garlic and used chicken broth for the liquid. I made fudge also. Very quick recipe : 3 cups (18oz) Semi sweet chocolate chips 1 can Sweetened condensed milk Dash of salt 1 1/2 tsp vanilla Walnuts if desired Over low heat, melt the chocolate chips in the sweetened condensed milk Remove from heat and add vanilla and nuts. Have you already taken them to downtown Powder Springs ? If they like visiting shops they have antique shops and I'm not sure if they still have it but there was a Farmer's Market set up one day each week. Too bad there aren't more small towns with cool shops around here, it's fun to go in and out different little shops. I think I read on here there is a pastry / dessert shop there also.

We were at Sam's yesterday and they were using these to demo several different cheeses. Multi grain crackers (multi seed) Certified gluten free Made in the U.S.A Brand name - Crunchmaster They have 2 - 10oz. foil packs per box. Just wanted to share because they are so delicious !!

I have been listening to Christmas music for a couple weeks and last week I found a red pot holder in the kitchen cabinet, when I flipped it over it was a Christmas one and it even makes the pots and pans cooler when I use it. It all started with the calculator. I used to think, way back then, that if we kept using calculators we would lose the ability to do simple math. Sadly we do see this in public all the time. Not long ago my total bill was, for example, $18.26, I gave the cashier $20.26 and she stared at it until I finally told her my change was $2.00. She handed me the $2.00 without question or any sign that she knew that to be true.

No problem, I wasn't offended, I just haven't heard that one yet. You are right, before long we will have job listings requiring "must be bilingual in text speak". Of course they will come up with just letters to say it and most of us will think it's a new software program we haven't heard of yet. If people don't stop being so lazy we could end up communicating in grunts like cavemen.
