I understood it with no problems! lol But I'll explain for you, Jerry had a sign in from of the David's Doughter's business in a shopping center on Hwy 278. So having a sign in front of a business does not mean that the business supports that candidate, as someone else tried to make a point earlier.

What the heck does Shearin have to do with this election? NOTHING! He's not running, nor is he supporting anyone who is running that I know of. Get over it! He's gone! If I were to support Beverly Cochran it's ONLY because I know she can do the job needed! I have personally known her for more the 15 years, she's been to my house and we have talked many times. I know all about that meeting, I was sitting right behind you when you taped it. Who said that he did it all "single handed"? And I didn't say anyone from the past adminstration made a contribution, I said that the person backing the past admin's is also backing Todd Pownall. If you haven't figured it out yet, NO ONE runs and wins office in this County (at least up till now) without someone in the shadows backing them. Some will say "in their back pocket". Don't look at the candidate, look at the money, use to be YOUR slogan if I'm not mistaken.

If someone said that, I missed it. Some of the candidates put me to sleep and I kinda zoned out when they started speaking about things they knew nothing about! One was just sad and has no place running for public office.

Please don't get me wrong, I am not talking up for this guy. But a restaining order is not a criminal charge. I could go get a restaining order on you now if I wanted and we have never met. I use to server R/O's and they are not usually worth the paper they are writen on.

Thank You for posting that. I had heard about this but did not remember the name. Now I'm not taking up for him, I don't agree with that he is being "accused" of, but he was not charged with any crime in this matter. From what little I have read about this, it is just one person's word against another. If it's true or not, I do not know. And until he has been convicted of a crime, you can not use it against him, right? And if we base our decisions on who has the least "baggage", and not what they can do for the us while in office, we may never find that "prefect" candidate. They don't

We don't have the infrastructure for housing either, so it is built. Lots of options when you can build the infrastructure to fit the needs instead of the other way around. Technology and medical are just two fields the County are seeking now, along with aviation. And we are only a few miles from 2 major interstates now, plans are in place to ease access to both of them.

Who has this company tried to talk to and what type of business is it? The County has pretty clear goals on the types of businesses they want to bring in. If you do not want to discuss this openly, feel free to send my a private message. And at last weeks BOC meeting, the County hired a new consultant to finish the application process for the reservior. The problem is not with the County, the Corp of Engineers has been delaying (and changing) the application for the required permits.
