PAULDING RESIDENTS SCORE HUGE WIN!
thedeerslayer replied to Concerned Pldg Resident's topic in RECENT TOPICS
When we moved to Kennesaw in 1978.McCollum wasn't near as busy then as now. There was still a house at the end of the runway with people living in it.But over the years it has expanded and become bigger. It was a slow and steady growth. Maybe the paulding airport could be just as successful as a general aviation, given time. But,it seem the people running it want it to grow just as fast as the housing boom, with all weird bank loans that after a few years folks could not pay.Now we have empty houses and streets to be repaved by taxpayers. -

My youngest daughter is the most finicky eater that I know,if it ain't chicken she doesn't want to eat it.When I sauteed a chicken of the woods in butter and seasoned salt,I gave her a bite......She said "That's really good, did you fry some chicken legs?"......I said "Nope,it's a mushroom" She thinks it's strange that a fungus can taste so good. BTW-All edible wild mushrooms should be cooked before eating. -

A person that breaks in and takes your money under threat of violence is a crook A person that sends a letter demanding money under threat of taking your house and putting you in jail is a politician -

And to think..........NONE of this would be happening if people would have kept their promises. Let that sink in. There was nothing stopping this airport from being just like McCollum with all of it's surrounding business, small prop planes and leer jets. -

What is wrong with wanting a government that does nothing? What if those few people that wanted an airport got together, pooled their resources and got some investors and built the airport on their own? -

You just want a huge dove field..........I can live with that.It would look much better than that huge scar on the land that is the airport now. -

Got some of them growing in the backyard too,and if someone isn't paying attention they could get collected right with the chants. Back in June the woods were loaded with chants -

I've never heard of nor seen a white chanterelle, they should be orange or gold.Like the ones I posted in surepips thread. -
I do not believe pubby had anything to do with a pcom downfall.Heck,he takes more insults than he dishes out. I think it is just facebook and it grows bigger day by day.
-
I was agreeing with you on this point......I should've only quoted this part the first time.......My bad
-
nope,you go find it
-
Yes,it was worded that way...............and it was done so as to give Jerry away around the voters. And he was fired.Just as 2 others have been fired for their stance. A wise man would study history and learn from it.Too bad David Austin is not wise.
-
The airport was voted against building twice.......Jerry Shearin went ahead with it and was fired as chairman.2 pro airport commissioners have been fired from their post because of it and yet David Austin is still shoving it down the taxpayers throats
-
David Austin, Dave Carmichael and David Barnette are proving that those apathetic voters are right! But January is coming, and it's bringing Tony and Vernon with it.
-
I wouldn't eat any of those................I have studied mushrooms enough to focus on morels, chanterelles, chicken and hen of the woods. Those 4 are the best tasting and easiest to distinguish. chanterelles growing in hardwoods chanterelles cut and on my counter
-
Sounds like every rat snake I have caught...............Heck,I catch rat snakes and king snakes to bring them home and turn loose in the yard to keep copperheads away................it ain't workin
-
As we walked out the door for church yesterday eve,We heard the "stranger danger" alarm putts of our turkey in the backyard. We walked around back and turkey lurkey is standing very close to a 4 ft copperhead. I dispatched the snake with a pellet shot in the head.In the last few years this is the 4th copperhead I' ve killed in the backyard and also the biggest. Notice the elliptical pupils in this snakes eyes. All venomous snakes in this area will have eyes like this.

I think ethics are different everyone...................but,if I had to ask others opinions, then deep down inside I would know it's not ethical for me.
