I've had that recipe since the seventies and OMG we love it, I always make it for Thanksgiving and Christmas. PECAN FIESTA PARFAIT (4 layers) 1 cup self rising flour 1 stick margarine 1/2 cup chopped pecans mix together very well and press into 9X13 dish. Bake at 375 for 15 mins Cool (I place it in the frig for a few minutes, helps to firm it and makes spreading the cream cheese mixture easier) Mix very well: 1 package of cream cheese 1 cup powdered sugar 2 cups cool whip spread on top of first layer, a spatula helps 3rd

Probably because it doesn't hold up as well as cool whip. Fresh whipped cream breaks down rather quickly.

Good lesson learned. But I would not let it keep me from getting things in the future for the children. They probably need it. It's not the children's fault that their mother has some serious issues. Just know that you learned a valuable lesson and never let her borrow anything, especially money.

And just to clarify, I do like to sleep in the cold. I can't sleep in a warm room, I can't breathe. We put it on 69 at night. I crack my window in the wintertime, so it gets very cold in my bedroom. But at least when I'm sleeping in a cold room, I have plenty of covers.

I know, there was a time when I was very fit. I've always been active and exercised and in shape. Somehow the last three years "life" took over and I'm not where I would like to be. But I can always start tomorrow!
