  2. Don't forget Bat Masteron, and I loved The Cisco Kid. Death Valley Days I always watched Sugarfoot
  3. Now what? I read a few months back the chain was in trouble and might be sold. I know a lot of you didn't like Red Lobster, but I did. I always knew what I was getting and what it would taste like. Darden announces sale of Red Lobster for $2.1B Darden announces sale of Red Lobster for $2.1 billion; holds onto Olive Garden NEW YORK (AP) -- Darden Restaurants says it will sell its Red Lobster chain to investment firm Golden Gate Capital in a $2.1 billion cash deal. The company, which also owns Olive Garden, had announced late last year that it planned to either
  4. Good luck. I thought I posted this earlier..........but I guess not. Anyway, our house came with stainless Frigidaire over-the-stove microwave, stove and diswasher, so we bought a Frigidaire refrigerator. The microwave went out maybe 3 years ago and we replaced with another Frigidaire. So far so good. The refrigerator went out Christmas before last. We went to Lowe's and looked and decided to replace with a Whirlpool. I have a Whirlpool W&D I've had for at least 14 years. So I'm hoping this fridge lasts longer. I remember appliances used to last so long that the onl
  5. Could it be this? PAULDING 911: AVOID Old Cartersville Rd at John Walraven Rd for the next hour due to traffic incident. One lane closed. www.nixle.us/8EJMZ
  6. I can't stand those Emily commercials........it was just on TV
  7. I like "Hotlanta", it's been called that since the 70's
  8. That's what I'm talking about. What was wrong with what we were raised on? There were massive innovations and inventions with education the old way. Again, my question is what is the government trying to do to our children and future generations? Jimmy Carter instituted the Department of Education and I think it should be dismantled. Education started going downhill after that. And again, is Perdue using double speak? Is he really for it or against it? I was going to vote for him, but I'm not sure. I'm not sure at this point who I will be voting for. I really don't like
  9. I remember when I first heard about the story on the news on TV. They did say the attendant was attacked, so that could be where this is coming from. I thought she was attacked as well, if I believe what they said on TV. Hopefully they will found soon.
  10. Thank you! I haven't thought about voting for Paul Broun, but he wants to get rid of the Department of Education. That's a good start. Where does Perdue really stand on Common Core? I think he said he's against it.
  11. The article stated some teachers are having a hard time with the concept, and some districts are having workshops for parents. All of this for simple addition and subtraction. Who in our state government is against common core? I need to be sure to vote for them.
  12. From YAHOO! 5 cities with the worst road rage (and 5 of the most generous) Road ragers and their particular behaviors aren’t limited to one part of the United States, but the cities best-known for being vehicularly irate last year have made a concerted effort to clean up their act, according to a recent survey. Houston displaced New York City as the city with the least courteous drivers in 2014, according to AutoVantage’s annual “Driver’s Seat Road Rage Survey.” In fact, only one city – Atlanta – that was in the top five last year, showed up in the top five in 2014. 13. Makeup can do wonders! Wow.
  14. Isn't it about influence and money? Doesn't someone/some group get together and figure out these "new" programs, present them to the right folks and get paid mega bucks for these programs? Or am I being naive? Isn't it just another way to take away control from the parents and give it all to the school. How can you help your child if you can't even understand it?
  15. I heard this earlier when I was out and about. I love these old songs from the sixties. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TqFiWKt18gw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4O1iq3yEqXU
  16. Oh LAWD, how could I forget about Rowdy Yates!! LOVED HIM!!!!! There were so many good westerns back then, and I remember watching them with my granny and grandaddy. They loved Bonanza so I watched it, I just liked some of the others better.
  17. I just do not understand any of this, since my kids were in school in the 90's and started with the "new math". I went through this with my grandson. From about the 6th or 7th grade I was no longer able to help him with math. What is our government really trying to do to our people? The 20th century, even in the centuries before, produced some of the most brilliant people, creating innovation, invention and change for everyone. Even my generation of "baby boomers" has produced some excellent innovators. I had an excellent education and could have gone on to do any number of things,
  18. I loved Wagon Train and The Rifleman, as well as Bret and Bart Maverick. Have Gun Will Travel was one of my favorites. There were so many, but Bonanza nor Big Valley did much for me. And I really loved Wanted Dead or Alive with Steve McQueen.............
  19. It's just the FULL moon, it will soon pass.
