I understand it completely. Bill Cosby was an icon with an impeccable reputation to the outside world. To say anything against him, especially if someone was drinking at a party would have been laughed at. Knock 'em out, they don't remember, but yet they know something happened, but what can they say? Nothing. After all it would be their fault for drinking and dressing inappropriately and "coming on to him".
