20 Sexual myths debunked including that one about shoe size
Ford Tough replied to gpatt0n's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Personally speaking I have a close correlation with my shoe size. Now I have small feet and hands so the myth can definitely be debunked or maybe I'm just a freak of nature! -

Stories like this is why I have a right to carry permit. These animals would not Reginald Denny me without several of them being taken out. -
I have to disagree. I kind of like Scorpions. They aren't my favorite metal band from the 80's as I'm more of a Motley Crue kind of guy but they were fighting for freedom and a unified Germany so that counts for something. My wife though doesn't like Scorpions at all. She was half asleep in the car one night when "Rock Me Like a Hurricane" came on the radio. She swears to this day that while singing it I changed the line from "on a hot June night for love at first sting" to "on a hot June night for loving Christine". Christine was one of my attractive coworkers! I plead innocent to the charge

All of that is well in good until the government or courts, because they have now defined marriage, decide that all churches must perform same sex marriages whether they want to or not and if they don't then they will be considered discriminatory and their tax exempt status revoked. That is the slippery slope we are now on. -

My position is purely a Libertarian one. Keep government out of marriage all together. It has nothing to do with gay or heterosexual marriage. It's a very simple concept. No more marriage licenses, no more income tax advantages, no more benefits based on being married, singled or divorced. Get government completely removed from what is a religious act. Let individuals redefine their relationships and contractual obligations to one another as they would a business transaction and create legal contracts if they want the protection that marriage is currently affords in the legal system. That is v -

Sure. My point is that contracts or civil unions could all address what the act of marriage does in the eyes of a law. It is a religious ceremony and covenant between people and their God. The government should not be involved in this area one way or the other. That is the point. Let people live their lives with who they want, share property with them, will property to them and divide it up according to whatever contract they have agreed to but marriage should not be the basis for any of that. It is a religious act not a financial one although I will admit many do use it for the latter but tha -

I normally refrain from attacking someone but when they say attack me first by saying "think for once in your life" when they don't know me from Adam then I consider that a personal attack. Don't you? -

Hey dumb ass. Two individuals can enter into any freaking legal contract they want. Marriage is not about property and how it should be divided up in the event of a divorce or anything else the government has assigned to it. It's a religious promise between two individuals and their God. If you think it's about all the other bullshat that has been tacked onto it then your head is squarely planted deep inside your rectum. -

No government- local, state or federal should have anything to do with marriage. It is an act between two individuals and their God. The government should not be licensing it, using it for tax purposes or authorizing any particular type of marriage. If the Catholic Church says no to gay marriage that is their right. If Episcopalians want to perform gay marriage so be it. It really is not the business of government to take a religious ceremony and give any approval to it. It's up to individuals and their churches, and no government should ever be allowed to dictate to a church who they choose o -

C'mon Pat. Obama is as close to a Marxist as you will ever find. Remember, his comment to Joe the Plumber about how we had to redistribute the wealth? He telegraphed his game plan before he was even elected. As far as whether he is Muslim or not just look at his words and actions. "The Muslim call to prayer is the most beautiful sound in the world", "My Muslim faith" which George Stepinthecrapanopolis had to correct him on and "when the political winds turn ugly I will stand with the Muslims". The guy is no Christian, was raised in Indonesia one of the largest Muslim nations in the world, bows -

It's also Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity's song. Kenny Chesney, who is a Lambda Chi, mentions it in his song "Reality". Beginning at the 2:33 mark of the song he sings "everybody raise your hands and voice tonight, set yourself free, let's take a carpet ride, we will leave it all behind". As a member of Lambda Chi Alpha that line in his song was about "Magic Carpet Ride" which has a special meaning to him just like it does the rest of us. That's about all I can say MCR other than it is a freaking awesome song! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_sD2BjnbveM&feature=kp -

EMPs are real. That said, I stocked up on two months worth of water and food in at the end of 1999 because I bought into all the Y2K hype that we were facing an impending disaster come January 1, 2000 when nothing would work and mass food shortages would hit the world. I won't do that again. My father and mother are preppers with a year's worth of food and all the firearms needed to fend off looters, thieves, etc. so they should be fine. As for my family, we figure we all have to go sometime and I really don't relish the idea of living in an apocalyptic world. -
Moving To Kentucky Is Not A Bad Idea For Some Georgians

Kentucky is a great state. After all they have given us Senator Rand Paul and in my book that makes them a winner! Of course they also gave us the worthless Senator Mitch McConnell so that would be one strike against them. -

Shoot, I will one up your vote for Jimmy Carter. I supported Al Gore in the 1988 Democrat Primary and voted for Michael Dukakis! That is how blind and naïve I was at one time. LOL

I have two daughter's and their friends have gone out with us to dinner quite a bit over the years. When we get to the restaurant we make it clear to them and their friend that they can order anything on the menu that is under say $10.00 or whatever is in the lower or mid range prices on the menu but it is not to exceed a certain amount. There is nothing wrong with doing it that way especially if your child is also asked to adhere to the same price. My daughter knows that is the rule if she wants to bring her friend to dinner. We've never had any issue

I was born and raised a Democrat and was even VP of the Young Democrats at my university. Heck, I even voted for Clinton. Then I got my first job and saw how Democrats were choking business and entrepreneurial spirit and did a 180. After being a Republican for almost twelve years I watched George W. Bush spend money like a drunk sailor and violate our civil liberties through the Patriot Act (which Obama has put on steroids) I concluded both parties were driving us off the cliff with one just doing it a bit faster than the other. When I look at the politic
