Actually they don't in a county like Paulding 99% of an officers day is filled with riding around in a car and issuing traffic citations. That's why during the occasional confrontation they have a tendency to overreact and escalate a manageable situation into something tragic, where people die for no good reason. Mostly for no other reason than to assert their authority.
