Indiana to pass law that could allow discrimination against gays
Foxmeister replied to Brian's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Apparently there needs to be a law to prevent gay people or anyone else from suing a business that refuses to do business with them based upon their moral or religious beliefs. If not, you will just have more cases like the gay couple who sued the bakery and put them out of business. -

I'm pretty sure most here would agree if a member of the Klan were to go into a bakery owned by a black person and wanted to order a cake with caricature of a black man hanging from a tree on the top; the bakery owner should have the right to turn the business down. I found it remarkable how those condemning the bakery owner for refusing to make the wedding cake for the gay marriage, didn't express the same outrage when Muslim bakery owners refused to do the same thing in the video that was posted earlier. I wonder why that is? I see nothing wrong with a business owner turning busines -
I don't think any county official could have done anything to help you with Fannie because it's not within their jurisdiction. As the house was foreclosed on, Fannie Mae became the legal owner. Anything you left behind in the house became solely an issue between you and Fannie Mae; the county had no control over it at all.

You're always trying to find a way to blame this kind of sheeze on conservatives. In order to do so on this issue, you feel it necessary to create a conspiracy. This is so typical of you and many on the left; throw enough sheeze on the wall and hope some of it sticks. You are such a friggin' hypocrite. You claim you want to see bipartisanship, you claim there's so much division in the country; but yet you throw sheeze out there like this that only divides more. God you are pathetic. -

So, what you're saying is, it was a gay couple who "made up" this issue by suing the bakery. The fact remains, the gay couple could have found another bakery to bake their wedding cake. Instead, they decided to make this an issue and file a lawsuit against the bakery. -

Is it really a "made up issue" when a gay couple sued a bakery for refusing to make them a wedding cake? No pubby, the issue is very real. Why should the government force the doctor to do the aboortzion when there are other doctors who are willing to do them? -

From the story you quoted, Probably? Isn't he really doing nothing more than guessing? The only way to be actually be more accurate would be to pose the same situation to the same number of bakeries owned by Muslim and Christian owners. -

Like all three networks, MSNBC, CNN, etc were doing with Bush? What about how often the Democrats today are still blaming Bush for today's economy. -

Let's say for the sake of debate, someone wanted to run an ad on pcom and in that ad,they wanted to use a picture of a totally nude woman it it where you could see everything. Would you take their money and run the ad? -

There are certain questions employers cannot ask a job applicant; one of those includes asking what their sexual preference is. My question to you then is how does an employer know if a person is gay or not? A person can be identified as what race they are simply by their appearance. Do gay people look differently than heterosexuals? An employer doesn't hire someone just because they're qualified for the position. They also hire them assessing if they would also be a good fit within their organization. That in itself can mean will the characteristics and personality the candidate disp -

If one bakery doesn't want to make a wedding cake for a gay wedding, there are others who will. People start businesses to make money. -
He was gay. The dog didn't like homosexuals.

The dog didn't bark at Wanda because she was black. The dog barked at her because she is a lesbian. Noticed the dog also barked at Rosie at the end of the clip.

Equal Employment Opportunity Commission v. BMW
Foxmeister replied to Foxmeister's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I think it should be interesting as well. Personally, I don't think an employer should require a credit check unless it's a job requiring a security clearance. Over the last ten years, millions of people have lost their jobs slashing their incomes dramatically; forcing them in positions where they couldn't pay all their bills on time or at all. Many lost their homes. Losing their jobs was not something they had any control of. -

Your last sentence was my intent - to show the hypocrisy on the left. They showed that in their responses in this thread. COWA wanted to call it bigotry. Pubby didn't want to call it anything other than an assault. Of all the people you see in the video, the victim was the only one who was white. Earlier this month in Philadelphia, three black teens were arrested and charged with murdering a white man who was simply out walking his dog. They gunned the man down who pleaded for his life before they pulled the trigger. Our society is going freakin' nuts. It doesn't seem peopl

What if though someone held a "White Girls Rock" event for the intent of recognizing white girls? Would there be people up in arms over it calling it a racist event? What would Jesse and Al be saying?
