  1. The USSR was a socialist country under Lenin until his death. It went communism under Stalin.
  2. Democrats are making the same allegations now in Texas. Does anyone see the pattern developing?
  3. Up here where I'm at, Popeye's built a new restaurant. Construction was completed almost two months ago, but the sign still says, "Coming soon." The problem is unemployment is so low here, they can't find enough job candidates to hire in order to open up. The left probably sees this as a bad sign for the economy because the demand for labor is exceeding the available supply. It's a good thing though as it means the competition for hiring new employees is now greater, which will lead to income rising.
  4. Actually I asked first. There are a lot of holes in Ford's accounts. Broderick was pretty damn concise and even had a witness who saw her immediately afterward.
  5. Juanita Broderick was not willing. She claimed during his initial presidential campaign, all during his two terms, and to this day Bill Clinton raped her while he was Attorney General of Arkansas. How many Democrats here believe her? Democrats didn't believe her. Hell they did everything they could to discredit her.
  6. Bill Clinton should have been sent with him as well.
  7. Did you notice how slanted the Post's oped is? The median household income rose to a record $61,372 last year. Poverty was reduced from 12.7% to 12.3%. Although childcare is expensive; it always has been. Name a period of time where people weren't complaining about how expensive childcare is. It's a simple matter of supply and demand. As long as the demand for it is high and the availability of it is low; the cost will be high. If four out of ten people can't come up with $400 for an emergency, it's because most are not utilizing their income wisely. Look at the cell phones they purc
  8. I'm not surprised at all how quickly those on the left here took the thread off topic. The economy is booming and unemployment levels are the lowest in decades in every demographic. It's amazing what tax reductions and the removal of some BS regulations can do.
  9. I'm all for school starting later in the year. When I was a kid, we didn't start school until after Labor Day and the last day of school was during the first week of June. Starting later will not only save on energy cost by eliminating school in August, but also give high school students more time to work summer seasonal jobs.
  10. Lie, cheat, and steal to win elections? How about the tactics the Democrats use? Remember the Democrats' TV ad showing a man in a suit pushing Granny over a cliff? There are lots more examples that can be used to demonstrate how Democrats will lie, cheat, and steal to win elections, yet you have not once called them out on them? Why is that?
  11. He once had his own TV show, "Dan August."
  12. My wife's birthday is also on the 3rd. She's much younger than I am.
  13. I only saw him in the movies. When I was 13, my friend's mother took us to see "Wuthering Heights (a remake) at the theater. This was in Augusta. Before the movie started, men in suits came in and took positions at the exits. Then more men in suits came in with this old lady and sat down several rows in front of us. My friend's mother told us that was Mamie Eisenhower. I guess I can say I watched a movie with Mamie Eisenhower.
  14. Back in the 70s you could buy concert tickets ranging from $7.50-$10.00. Besides those I mentioned in a previous post, I have seen: Jethro Tull, Peter Frampton (twice), Bob Seger, Cheap Trick, Van Halen (twice), Earth, Wind and FIre, Grand Funk Railroad, Elton John, and Stevie Nicks.
  15. Mother's Finest played at our prom. They still perform today. My first concert was a double bill; Manfred Mann and Tommy James back in 71. My second concert was in 72. The headliner was Charlie Daniels with two warmup bands: the first being Fannie and the second Stories.
