UPDATE - He is being released from the hospital and they are sending him to the nursing home until he heals. He is stubborn and is not happy about this but he will need physical therapy and someone to take care of him for a while anyway. Thanks for all the prayers!! I am sure that they are the reason that he is still here with us.

Try a spoonful of honey - it sure helps my grandsons when they have a cough. Since there is no medicine involved you can give it more often and they don't mind taking it either.

Congratulations on baby Colten! I know you are glad he is here. My new grandbaby will be here in 2 weeks and I am excited. I know how you are especially about those tiny babies and he will spoiled rotten I am sure. I am sure MawMaw is watching from above.....

Mine came down today along with all the other decorations. Just never really got that Christmas spirit this year so was glad to get everything back to normal.

Put 2 blocks of suet with berries next to the bird feeder with the seed about 1 1/2 weeks ago and it is gone now. Need to get some more. We have all kinds of birds and a couple of squirrels (that I run off the feeder). They get peanuts/cheezits/cheetos and the like that I throw out along with some old pecans that I don't want to crack for anything. We also have deer and red fox. Love to watch them. So far no problems other than one of the fox getting one of our pigeons.

They work if used correctly and on the lowest setting. We had a weimaraner that loved to go down to the road and my hubby put a shock collar on him and he stayed on the porch with the controller. As soon as the weim touched the pavement my hubby would give him a small jolt. After a few times of this he stayed away from the pavement - he thought that the road was shocking him since every time he touched it he got a strong tingle.

Mine is coming down now...taking a break before taking the lights off. Ornaments are off and packed up now the lights.....

You and your family are just AWESOME..love in your hearts for all of mankind and that is what God wants! You will be richly rewarded for all of your caring....

Thanks for all the prayers, we are just waiting to hear more after they do surgery in regards to internal injuries. Very touch & go at this point.

Prayers for this family..

Just talked to my cousin (uncle's son) and he said the people that "ran over" him were drunk and are now in jail. It appears to be much worse than thought due to the car running completely over him and internal injuries. We will know more after surgery. They are in Kentucky and have been without power since the snow storm last Friday and he was going to get some lamp oil at the dollar store. Lots of broken bones on top of internal injuries to his organs.

Everything is done and wrapped and under the tree...1st year that I haven't been looking for those last minute gifts and I am enjoying sitting at home.

My Mom's older brother - she is the baby and is 80. He was more like a grandfather to me than an uncle. Hopefully since he has been in such good health (he actually climbed the mountains and hunted this year) that he will be strong enough to bounce back...just depends on the internal injuries and they won't know that until they get to Lexington. Thanks for all the prayers - needless to say my Mom is very upset.

My uncle who lives in Kentucky and is 93 years old was hit by a car this morning in the parking lot of the Dollar store. All we know for sure right now is that he has a broken pelvis and numerous other injuries. He is being taken to Lexington to the trauma unit there. He has always been in good health and planted a garden and canned all his vegetables this year. Hopefully, he will be able to bounce back from this. Prayers will be appreciated.

A pcommer that was next door to me had their house burn down last year. We don't even have a fire hydrant on our road! They had to run the lines to the end of our road probably 1/4-1/2 mile to even get to a hydrant and that is ridiculous....... two hydrants there in different locations and one of them didn't work.

Bite size Spinach/Bacon/Mushroom quiche baked in phyllo dough in mini muffin tin. Some times I use a crab dip recipe in these too. Yummy!!!!!

Every Thanksgiving my Mom gives everyone a Christmas ornament. She started this when my first child was born almost 34 years ago. She writes the person's name and year on the bottom of the ornament. When my daughter married she had 30 ornaments and still gets one a year to add to it and each one is special. Now she gets them for her two little boys also. We use all the ornaments that we and our son (he will get his when he marries and leaves home) have gotten over the years.

Not feeling it here either!

I think we all deserve a mayberry!
