Yep. Gotta give them a few months to "round out". And some never do!

Thanks. I just read that it's not that uncommon to have increase in pain for 24-48 hrs after a cortisone shot. It's called cortisone flare. Ice and rest is the ticket until it subsides. I've had this happen the last time I had a shot back in January. It's just so dang painful! And my doc doesn't do pain meds for a chronic problem, which I get, but HECK I ain't asking for a month supply! Just give me something to get through the next 48 hrs!!

I've had it take as long as 48 hrs for the cortisone to really kick in. I'll give it through today, but if not better by tomorrow, I'm calling doc. Unless of course I can't stand it anymore before the end of the day.

PM me and I'll tell you who NOT to use. Other than that..I agree with Trixie. Good luck.

I was mentally, verbal, emotional, and as hard as it was for me to admit...sometimes physically abused. He did hit me, but holding me against a wall by my throat or twisting my arm behind my back still counts. Anyway....not trying to start a pity party......I went through a divorce and m

Just had cortisone shot in left knee yesterday. They last me about 4-5 mths. My issue is that it take 24-48 for the cortisone to take full effect. And the evening after having it done my knee is SCREAMING at me!! Didn't sleep real well last night. I was up at 2 am in tears it hurt so bad! And it ached all night. I was afraid to move once I got in a position where it was just a dull ache. It was the only way I got ANY sleep. Really achy and sore still this morning. I'm really hoping the cortisone starts to take affect this evening. Anyone else have these issues with a
