  1. So she's a runaway. I feel for her family. Little brat probably needs a good arse whipping. Sorry.........I'm having "a day" today.
  2. We need a new one. Ours is leaking. Maybe we will check out this type.
  3. Chill-laxed around the house. Too hot out!! We grilled the required steaks, hotdogs, and pork butt over the course of the weekend. And said our thanks to those who gave all so that we enjoy the freedoms we have!
  4. My ducks ARE NOT what's for dinner.

  7. I am sorry this happened to you. Were you due some sick pay or vacation time or something that she didn't pay you for??
  8. THEY WISH!!!! I agree, not everyone makes it up the ladder, but the opportunity is there. It's what YOU do with it that makes the difference. Plenty of 20+ cake decorators, meat cutters, grocery clerks, etc, choose to stay right where they are. No shame in that game either. It's a living. I wanted more, so I made the moves necessary to get there. And when my time was done, I retired and moved on.
  9. I did 22 years with Kroger. Started out in the old Barney's cafe part time. When I retired I was in management in the zone office responsible for 22 Deli/Bakery's in our zone. Made VERY good money, 5 weeks vacations, full benefits, 401 k, etc. I agree that the college degree ain't what it used to be, but I still believe hard work pays off. Get your foot in a door and work your arse off. Too many kids don't want to work for it. They want to come out of college with VP positions and making six figures. It doesn't work that way. Everyone has to pay their dues.
  10. Bruce Lucia, the President of the South Eastern Division of Kroger, started out bagging groceries. Just sayin'.
  11. Okay. Who's still here? Looks like I got left behind.............AGAIN!!

  16. 20 to 25 large scallops (about 3 pounds) 5 tablespoons olive oil 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon black pepper 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon pepper Directions Pat dry each scallop and lay them on a tray. Sprinkle on some olive oil, coating scallops on all sides. Season the scallops with salt, black pepper, and lemon pepper, making sure that the seasoning covers all sides. Refrigerate until ready to cook. Grill for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side. Serve immediately DO NOT OVER COOK THEM!
