Paulding Board of Commissioners ignore Sidley-Austin letter to FAA
pcfanatic replied to surepip's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Rockysmom, you are wrong the FAA is not driving this train, the courts are. And Sidney-Austin has put the FAA on notice they will file a lawsuit and let the courts decide if Michael Baker is used. And guess who is going to pay the county's legal bills, that's right all Paulding Taxpayers. Why is the PAA and and BOC so stubborn, there are hundreds if not thousands of firms as well qualified as Michael Baker. Pure arrogance and stupidity on the the PAA and BOC (the citizens won round 1 , requiring the Envoronmental Assessment, but the arrogant imbicles want let it go). They are real leaders -
Mojo, I read your comment about the Hawk Aviation school pouring the avgas samples on the ground and thought this cannot be true. In this day and age no one would deliberately pour high lead content avgas on the ground. So I went to the Paulding Airport website to see for myself. Hawk Aviation School has a promotional video on the website and sure enough on the video fuel samples are taken twice and then poured on the ground. Turns out Patti Smith's concerns about drinking aircraft fuel are correct and all the officials who wanted to blow her off were once again trying to put one over on

Pubby, You keep ranting about Delta's $600,000 fuel tax break. It's kind like the tax break our IBA abd BOC are giving to businesses in Paulding. A tax break is a tax break is a tax break. Do you toss a coin to decide which tax breaks you like and which you don't or is it just Delta you do not like? Also, what do you think about the $40,000,000, thats 40 with six zeros, tax break that our illustrious legislature just gave Gulfstream Aerospace? I'd say that trumps Delta's $600,000 break.

No discussion about the BOC creating a citizen oversight committee
pcfanatic replied to LPPT's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Remember there are no lies and promises with Pubby. He is the "wiggle room" politician. He says David Austin didn't lie , he was only leaving himself wiggle room. A vote for Pubby is a vote for the "good old boy" status quo. -
No discussion about the BOC creating a citizen oversight committee

The currnet IBA and AA havce citizens appointed to them. The problem is these citizens are head nodding yes men that are beholden to the person that appointed them. Why is a citizens advisor panel going to be any different? It's not. The powers will not appoint anyone who will not toe the line for them. It is an election year joke, the BOC is trying to pacify the voters until after the May primary. Do not be fooled, recognize it for what it is and vote accordingly. At the BOC meeting, the guest speaker made a comment about BlackHawks dumping fuel. So Austin, who wanted to show her she was wr -
For the AA and the BOC to welcome the Guard back justs reinforces the fact they do not give a crap about the taxpaying citizens of the county. All they want to do is sell a little avgas. Maybe the Guard will want to be good servants of the citizens and will turn the AA and BOC down to avoid the controversy. Or maybe Delta will have enough pull with Gov. Deal that he will not allow them to come back. The Guard moving over a few hundred feet is not going to solve any noise problems or eliminate the disruption to the neighbors and the Guard knows this even though our local yokels could care

A vote for Pubby is a vote for the status quo, Paulding county taxpayers cannot afford him. Where is the 7000 acre green space?

I understand the Paulding Airport Authority (AA) is developing a MOU for the National Guard to do their training at Paulding Airport. My question is how can the AA designate training areas for the Guard if the 10, 000 acres they are planning to use does not belong to the airport? Seems that all the training would have to be above a minimum altitude if it is over City of Atlanta property. Since Paulding Airport is on Atlanta's black list, I would not think they will approve training over their property. I hope it is another strike out for the BOC and the AA.

I heard from a reliable source it's going to be a strip club. We've got a commercial airport coming we have to get started building the strip clubs.

Don't give the Paulding Board of Commissioners any ideas. If it means jobs, jobs, jobs those Pimps will be all for it.

Carmichael is a one act pony, who stayed in the Marines too long playing with Federal Government's ( the citizens) flying toys. Now he doesn't want to give it up and he will do or say anything to get his way. "737's are no louder than a motorcycle" he says and he thinks everyone is stupid enough to beleve that. Shows his disreguard and disrespect for the people who elected him. He needs to go.

Another black eye for Paulding County. No honest business person would open or relocate to Paulding with these immoral/deceitful shenanigans going on. And the worst part of it is an immoral man with no principles has been sitting in judgement on a superior court in Paulding County for all these years ruling on cases that affect the citizens. If I were one of the local judges in waiting, I think I would be more than a little pissed. Osbourne did not just screw the people of Paulding, he screwed his brothers in the profession. I bet his daughter will not get a lot of respect on the bench. W

All these folks are going to be sorely disappointed when they want to go to Orlando and the only flights out of Paulding are to Biloxi or Nashville. They can always catch a flight to Nashville and switch planes and airlines to catch a flight to Orlando. Not as convenient as they thought it would be. From Hartsfield they could go most anywhere non-stop. The BOC got their film studio, they got their General Aviation Airport they are now trying to convert to commercial, they are now going after a conference center, and in his reelection notice on Faceb

Mine too. And especially after the boneheaded move that he and the other Paulding County Reprentatives took to poke Delta in the eye with a sharp stick. What do they think it would accomplish, just piss Delta off a little more at Paulding County? Maxwell and the other reprentatives knew full well their bill to remove Delta's tax break would not go anywhere, why did they wait so late to file it. They were just putting on a show for the voters of Paulding County. But I think they are on the wrong side, there are more people in Paulding that support Del

Wiggle room is a lie, you've been in bed with the liars tooooooooo long.

In case you haven't noticed or you just do not want to admit it, Delta is the econimic engine that has made the regional economy as great as it. I bet you would be all in favor of giving Propeller a tax break.

With the current number of flights SCF is getting, back taxiing, is absolutely not an issue. We could also widen the runway to 300 feet and the taxiway to 150 feet, that would be safer. But it doesn't make a lot of sense. Just like saying back taxiing is unsafe doesn't make a lot of sense.

Austin has lied in Public Meetings, why do you think he would tell the truth in a one on one?
-

Gee, Feelip, I wanted CPR to answer the question.
-
I just viewed the speech by Cathy Helms at the AA meeting. She is 100% spot on when she says Swafford, the AA, and the BOC used safety as the red herring for the BOC to take over the taxiway widening project. I have worked in the area of runway facilities at a major, major airport for the past 35 years. I know what I speak of and safety of that taxiway is not an issue. All involved just used the buzzword safety to try and justify it to the citizens, who will pay the bill. It is a crying shame that none of our leaders on the AA and BOC are "big" enough to stand up and tell the truth. St

In response to a residential fire, several minutes will be lost just getting from the fire station to Hwy 278. Citizens lives could be lost in several minutes. The AA and the BOC wanted to make the taxiway safer by widening from 35' to 50', but they are not interested in making the citizens safer by putting the fire station on Hwy 278 with a better response time. Oh, the games some people will play.
-
Damn, our BOC will try to keep up and the first thing we know they will be building a street car system here in Paulding utilizing SPLOST funds.
-

Maybe some Paulding citizen with deep pockets will file a lawsuit against using SPLOST funds to build a Fire Station for the airport. It's obvious it is for the airport, with public safety as a secondary use. But they shouldn't file it just yet. Wait until all the other lawsuits are resolved, we do not want to confuse the issue.
