CPR do you or anyone else know the status "true" status of the Environmental Assessment (EA)? The AA certainly has not issued any info about it. I can assure you there is no such thing as a "fast track" approval. The normal timeframe is a year plus. Has a consultant been hired to do the assessment? How many million $ is the assessment going to cost? Who is going to pay for it, the FAA or Paulding Airport Authority? I would tend to think the FAA will not pay for it and the taxpayers will again be called on to bail out the AA.

Just what we need, more retail and restaurants. Really high paying jobs that you are so much in favor of.

No credible or meaningful business will relocate to Paulding County for years to come, now that all the "good ole boy" secrets are starting to come out. Stand by for more revelations, and don't buy your Silver Comet tickets just yet.

I will tell you why Brett Smith will not step up to the plate as he promised. Even his investors are getting cold feet and are beginning to realize this whole fiasco is going to be a major flop. They do not want to throw any more of their money into the bottomless pit. But our BOC cannot or will not (because of their egos)see this, so they keep throwing money into the pit and Hoping and that is hoping with a capital H.

Anytime someone edits (in tis case deletes a portion of) a tape of one of these meetings and posts it on this site or any other site, they are not being truthful and honest. They do not want you to have the full picture. Pubby you have a habit of doing that and it makes your credibility equal zero. You get on here and blabber on and on, but to cut the opposing view off and say it is redundant is the height of hypocrisy. You are trying to silence the people with whom you disagree. It is your website and you can do what you want but in the long run it i

I see that either David Austin or Blake Swafford is up to their old tricks, of keeping people in the dark about what they are doing. Austin and Tom Cable, on the sly, went to Howard Maxwell and asked him to introduce local legislation about the powers of the IBA. This was done without the knowledge of the IBA members and some of the BOC. I tend to think it was Austin, because if it were Swafford he would be looking for a new job right now. However, it could have been Swafford acting with Austin's blessing. At the BOC, both Austin and Swafford were doing quite a little tap dance to try and

Who appointed you the the peace broker????? What are you trying to do set yourself up as a candidate by playing middle of the road. I think you are being a little too concilatory to the BOC who has been screwing the citizens for over a year and continue to do so with their underhandedness (i.e. the Maxwell change to the IBA). Nothing about the BOC has changed and nothing will change until they get their way. Which, by the way, is not going to happen. Do you not realize the citizens do not want any construction (i.e. taxpayer dollars spent) at the airp

State of the County address delivered at Chamber Luncheon
pcfanatic replied to gpatt0n's topic in Fastread page
Interesting Observation: On the Support Group's petition page, of the people who left comments when signing their petition, 47% were not residents of Paulding County. It seems the Chamber of Commerce is not the only outside forcre trying to change the destiny of Paulding County. -

Airport discussed at Tuesday's commission meeting
pcfanatic replied to gpatt0n's topic in Fastread page

CPR you are wrong again. I am speaking about the $1,000,000 bond request that the AA and BOC went after two citizens with. Trying to stifle their lawsuit by requiring them to put up a bond. Judge Beavers ruled against the county this AM. Why weren't you there, you're such a supporter of the BOC and everything they do? -

I am glad to hear that Judge Beavers shot down the Board of Commisssioners SLAPP attack against two of Paulding citizens. -
Airport discussed at Tuesday's commission meeting
pcfanatic replied to gpatt0n's topic in Fastread page

You do not understand NEPA (National Environmental Policy Act), the agreed to settlement was exactly what the citizens would have gotten if it had gone to trial. The residents settled because the FAA did not have a leg to stand on and gave them exactly what they were seeking. The biggest thing gained in the settlement is Time!!!!! And my guess is the delay will not be as short lived as you think. Especially when more lawsuits are filed against the study itself. Do you not understand how the court systems work. This thing will be drug out until we -
Airport discussed at Tuesday's commission meeting

CPR you are dead wrong. Where have you been? It is apparent that the environmental lawsuit was not frivolus. If it was frivolus, why did the AA, BOC, and FAA throw in the towel and sign an agreement to do exactly what the citizens asked for in their lawsuit. Spew on, the more you say, the less credible you become and the more you help the anti expansion citizens. P. S. In you spare time, why don't you and Pubby organize a boycott against Delta. -

I get it now, Pubby. You don't want the "BIG BOYS" to bring development and prosperity to Paulding. You want the "GOOD OLE BOYS" to have their hands in it. You are so anti big business, I bet you don't even have Microsoft on your computer. -
Airport discussed at Tuesday's commission meeting
pcfanatic replied to gpatt0n's topic in Fastread page
Pubby, All you want to do is bash Delta. What you and the other like mindeds will not admit is that without Delta, Atlanta would not be the international city and economic hub it is. It would be another Birmingham, Chattanooga or Jackson, Mississippi. Delta is the primary economic engine of the Atlanta region, not just Atlanta but the entire region including Paulding. All of the economic benefits brought by Delta are spilling over into Cobb, Gwinnett and other adjacent counties. And whether you will admit it or not the benefits have been coming to Paulding for years and are on the verge e -
Airport discussed at Tuesday's commission meeting

BB, you are wrong, they did in fact break the law. The National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), requires that any agency complete the required Environmental Assessment prior to initiation of any action ( in this case the action is the construction work and bringing in commercial air service). However, the are no penalties for violating the Act other than stopping the action until the required study is complete. Why do you think the FAA agreed to the settlement of the lawsuit and stopped all construction? Because the FAA along with the AA and BOC wer -

If they didn't have a problem with the EA why didn't they do it first like the law requires? You are so full of it. -
I just ran across a very interesting link below. This would be some good information to disseminate at the community meeting. The people of Paulding need to know this. On 8 January, 2014 the Bureau of Labor Statistics issued this report on job projections and growth for various occupations. If you review the report, you will see the growth rate projected from 2012 thru 2022 for all occupations associated with an airport or a film studio is projected to be 0% to 9%. This is not 0% to 9% a year. It is 0% to 9% for the entire 10 year period. The AA, IBA, and BOC are throwing millions of dol

More BS and you know it. Trying to put the blame on Todd shows your true colors. There is nothing objective about your discussiions. See Surepip's #104 post. Secrecy among the commisioners is never never never never ,etc, justified. You and and others that support the airport can blabber on and on about Todd, but the facts are not going to change. Todd and the Citizens he represents were wronged by Austin and his cronies. And that is part of the reason they are now, where they are. I guess you are one who thinks the end justifies the means no matter how immoral the means. And it i

I am Not necessesarily a supporter of Todd. However BB your post is BS. The only mistake Todd made was thinking David Austin was an honest and upright person. David admitted he withheld info from Todd, because he did trust him . Boy, that is is the pot calling the kettle black. Is Austin such an untrustworthy person that Todd should have hired an investigator to find out what Austin was up to??? You're certainly putting your MAN AUSTIN in a bad light, by saying that Todd should not have trusted him and should have dug deeper. Thanks for making that clear for everyone.

Did you you post the Drama Queen Sign?

Mocking the people who will be most negatively impacted by commercialization of the Airport is certauinly not the way garner support for the pro airport position. It just shows your ignorance and blatant disregard for other human beings in your quest for the almighty dollar.

You have got it all wrong!!!! It is YEA Delta. Keep up the good work and keep the pressure on the Buffons on the AA and the BOC.
